One thing that I think is important to make clear, is that even if Obama wins a second term, IF WE WIN THE SENATE, WE HAVE THE ABILITY TO IMPEACH! Clear the decks of RINOs like Olympia Snowe and Boehner should be a very do-able goal in 2012. If we win the Senate, Fast-and-Furiious will be our rallying cry to get rid of The Communist through acts of treason.
Me Jim ;-)
"Well .... Bye!"
Well, that’s a real stretch.
Regardless, Perry is weak on immigration, and immigration is a real issue with Rush, based on what he’s said in the past.
I seriously doubt Rush thinks, at this date, that Perry is his “dream candidate.”
Because Rush is no idiot.
And if you have to dig up a quote from Rush BEFORE Perry even got in the race, and BEFORE Perry made his “heartless” comment, that’s really reaching.
By your last post it is obvious you do not believe this "standard" is very high. Unfortunate.
....and thats when the phrase “ Moral Clarity “ was invented....
You’re all over this one buddy! The Romulans must go to the edge of the galaxy. Begone Romney, compromised, unprincipled half-hearted non-sense.
Like all of us that remember how it felt when we conservatives were forced to vote for McCain in 2008 as the lesser of 2 evils, it would totally suck to have to do that again.
Yeah, and fat lot of good voting for McCain did us. Nothing, zilch, nada. Gave the GOP an excuse to throw more puke at us.

Sorry but you dont get to decide who I vote for. I dont particularly like Romney but that decision is for me to decide on, not YOU.
Last I checked we still had a Constitution that allowed each free standing citizen to vote for whomever they wanted. To say otherwise is anti-American.
I would like for you to point out just how it is you arrive at the conclusion that Jim Robinson is deciding for whom you will vote. Since this is his website, he is speaking his mind regarding for whom he will NOT vote, but you somehow interpret that to be telling you for whom you will vote. Are you this confused in all your daily activities?
blah blah blah, if you left 20 years ago how do you how Romney compared to Dukakis or Deval Patrick? you don’t Romney was nothing like deval or dukakis and obama is worse that deval or dukakis, I would prefer someone other than romney but I will not bite my nose to spite my face and get stuck with another 4 years of obama
This is EXACTLY the same crap we heard from the Rooty Rooters four years ago:
"He only did it because the liberals made him...""He's a real conservative, just give him a chance..."
"He'e the only one who can win and he's better than a Democrat..."
I am a conservative and from here on out I will ONLY vote for a conservative and I don't give a damn what the letter is after their name.
Even Obama admits that ROMNEY is the architect of Obamacare, that makes him WORSE than Obama.
I will take anyone over obama, you will not that is your opinion, but if the choice comes down to obama or romney what are you going to do? not vote at all and stick us with 4 more years of obama, waste your vote on a third party canidate and stick us with four more years of obama? if you dont want me to vote for romney get your @ss off the computer and go make sure he is not the nominee, so I have another choice
So, you take party over principle? That's pretty sad.
but if the choice comes down to obama or romney what are you going to do? not vote at all and stick us with 4 more years of obama, waste your vote on a third party canidate and stick us with four more years of obama?
I intend to vote for a conservative, if there's not one on the ballot I will write one in.
For the record, I am far from convinced that Obama will even be on the ballot.
A couple of things:
1. A vote for one of the minority parties rather than for Romney would be a good thing and not a wasted vote....especially if lots of conservatives decided to do so. It would (a) launch a new party, or (b) cause reform in the old party. McCain has taught us that "going along to keep the democrats out of power" does not result in the reform of the party. In fact, the establishment appears further entrenched.
2. Better the enemy who is your enemy than the enemy who pretends to be your friend. Better the enemy than the traitor. The traitor is far more dangerous.
People need to realize exactly how the GOP was formed.
The GOP was started by social conservatives who were sick of the way the Whigs were willing to compromise on everything.
Within a decade of starting, the Whigs were gone and the GOP was the dominant political party for the rest of the century.
And yes, it's true that money wasn't as critical back then, but there is every reason to believe that there is money right now to launch a major third party. The Tea Party has raised a ton of money and there are people like the Koch brothers who are more than willing to finance something like this.
What a ridiculous post.
Jim may not get to decide who anyone votes for, but HE DOES get to decide who will be FReepers.
Last I checked we still had a Constitution that allowed each free standing citizen to vote for whomever they wanted. To say otherwise is anti-American.
Jim isn't saying that anyone can't vote for whoever they want, Jim is simply saying that FR won't be used to promote certain candidates.
Free Republic is Jim's PRIVATE PROPERTY, free speech DOES NOT APPLY HERE. There is NOTHING more American than a person's right to their own private property.
