Whether for the primaries or for the national election, should he happen to win the nomination, Cain has the least political experience of anyone on the debates stages.

We already have one novice in the Oval Office, but even he has a couple of elective political jaunts.

Running a corporation is much different than being president of the Nation.

I just don’t have enough confidence that Cain can do the job to jump on his band wagon. He is too much of an unknown quantity, politically.

Neither of the elective offices that Obama held were "effective". He is 100% the result of affirmitive action and did nothing in his prior offices.

***We already have one novice in the Oval Office, but even he has a couple of elective political jaunts.***

Rephrasing:

We have an idiot in the Oval Office - who was elected simply because he had been processed three times through the Chicago sausage machine.

That's a good thing!

Running a corporation is much different than being president of the Nation

Yes, because they have to live within their means - very, very different than our federal government.

He is too much of an unknown quantity, politically.

What do you want to know? His positions are stated at his website.

You’re right of course ... a man of true character just can’t stand up against Obama ... we’d be better off keeping the devil we know vs. the one we don’t! /sarc

I would guess that a ceo running a corporation has to make decisions, not just sit back and coast along in congress by voting “present” because your afraid your vote will show what you what you stand for.

Running a corporation is much different than being president of the Nation.

This is the kind of statement psychologist Paul Meehl identified and called a 'barnum statement." It sounds uniquely meaningful but could be applied almost anywhere about any subject.

"Being a general is much different than being a President."(Washington, Eisenhower) "Being a Secretary of State is much different than being President"( Jefferson, Madison, Monroe). Being a movie actor is much different than being President(Reagan).

Maybe we should stick with governors like Clinton and Carter. Should have given Dukakis a try. All that "political experience" really paid off for the nation.

“running a corporation is much different than being president of the Nation.” How is it much different? To run a corporation you need to be a problem-solver. To run this country you need to be a problem-solver.

A good problem-solver can solve problems... wherever they are. We need a problem-solver to run this country because the current president has created more problems than he has solved. He is not a problem-solver. He’s the last of the big spenders (of our tax money).

Cain doesn’t need any political experience to solve problems. That’s a major misconception that many people have.
