![]() Heres to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. Theyre not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you cant do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do. |

Wow. Shows how precious life is.
Cancer didn’t care a wit that he is a multi-billionaire and one of the geniuses of his time.
RIP.
A man who had the ability to craft very useful things for people, from movies to computers to phones, has left us today.
Steve, may your family be comforted by God at this time. Thank you for the legacies left behind.
An offbeat guy, but he was a true visionary who brought immense satisfaction to consumers and created billions of dollars of value. 56 is way too young.
RIP
Somehow I am thinking that the new I Phone “S”, may now have a meaning. “S” for Steve.
Sad
Thomas Edison of our time. He was on fire recently. He should had another 20 years of inventions in him. What a great loss to humanity.
So sad! Steve - rest in peace now, your pain is gone now. Despite what the haters say, you have contributed mightily in a positive way to mankind.
Your work greatly influenced my life, starting in 1977. I still have several early Apple II machines, from SN-311, and fond memories of the personal computer revolution he helped foster.
His vision and hard work transformed the personal computer world and brought us the iPhone and iPod Touch and iTunes. He will be missed.
Sad Apple ping. RIP Steve.
Rest in Peace!
He was given a brilliant mind and incredible talent. A miracle he was not aborted; I believe God had a hand in that gift of life. God have mercy on his soul. He did a lot of good in this sick, troubled world.
Steve could be a control-freak and horse’s ass, but he did some amazing things and had great vision. I appreciated the fact he could make you dream.
Literally changed the world.
RIP Steve.

Apple's Website today is simply a memorial shot: http://www.apple.com/

RIP. Those old Apple computers were so fun to work on back in the day.
What a shame. RIP and God’s blessings to his friends and family.
The Feds will be along shortly to collect their cut.
Love to post that at DU. See how they feel about the “Death” tax now.
I’m not a fan of his but he made great contributions to the home PC industry. RIP.
56....Much too too young. RIP
RIP. Enjoy iHeaven Steve.
RIP Steve. You changed the world. Very few can make that claim. We now enter the dark ages of consumer electronics until the next visionary comes along. May God bless and keep you for eternity.
Might as well do what you love - beats sitting around waiting... good for him.
The Johnny Appleseed of the 20th and 21st Centuries.
