“The person it’s going to backfire on is Cain because he played the race card.”

And the Perry supporters are playing the victim card.

I hate to burst your bubble but if it turns out that Perry has been going there for over 20 years and the name was only changed in 2008, he is finished.

I don’t find this particularly offensive but I remember George Allen.

Did you read the very last paragraph where it mentioned the word under the faded paint part?

This is a hit piece. It’s yellow journalism at it’s worst.

yellow journalism

— n
the type of journalism that relies on sensationalism and lurid exaggeration to attract readers

[C19: perhaps shortened from the phrase Yellow Kid journalism, referring to the Yellow Kid, a cartoon (1895) in the New York World, a newspaper having a reputation for sensationalism]

Yellow Journalism

Yellow journalism, in short, is biased opinion masquerading as objective fact. Moreover, the practice of yellow journalism involved sensationalism, distorted stories, and misleading images for the sole purpose of boosting newspaper sales and exciting public opinion. It was particularly indicative of two papers founded and popularized in the late 19th century- The New York World, run by Joseph Pulitzer and The New York Journal, run by William Randolph Hearst.
