I can buy fruit juice increasing cancer risk in diabetic patients, since it’s loaded with sugar. But vegetable juice? No way.

A study published in the Journal of the American Dietetic Association shows fruit juice increases the risk of developing the cancer when comparing people drinking the most versus the least amount of fruit juice.

Researchers believe it’s because fruit juices are low in fiber and often have added sugar.

Coffee is good, coffee is bad.

Wine is good, wine is bad.

Sun is good, sun is bad.

And the latest — fruit juice is bad.

All these half-baked studies can drive you insane

Consumption of brassica vegetables (e.g., broccoli, cabbage) was associated with reduced incidence of proximal colon cancer. For distal colon cancer, both total fruit and vegetable intake and total vegetable intake appeared to decrease risk. Distal colon cancer risk was significantly decreased in association with intake of dark yellow vegetables and apples, although there was an increased risk for rectal cancer with consumption of fruit juice. Risk of proximal colon cancer and rectal cancer was not associated with intakes of total fruit and vegetable, total vegetable or total fruit.

The headline is rather misleading. The overall findings are still in favor of reducing the risk or no risk at all.

Don't worry, too arbitrary to have any relevance, like most studies, they are only commissioned to prove a preconditioned outcome.

If still concerned just cut up some aloe leaf gel fresh from a leaf (I get it in the produce dept. $2/leaf , about 18").

You'll never have a problem with that end of your tube ever, guaranteed!

Not me. Get at the right stage and they are just like eating a twinkie...set up on the outside, creamy soft in the middle.
