Well, I think they made a couple of positive comments today. (See my posts up-thread)

Also interesting is that I cannot find Herman Cain’s blockbuster speech on YouTube. Might be just a delay in posting, so will keep an eye out for it.
I was hopeful for Perry, but he is turning into a huge disappointment for the very reasons you state.
Sarah is the best one to take on the Herculean task of dismantling of the Marxist cabals which have taken over Washington and the media. Most of the rest of the candidates are apt to be either co-opted or flattened by them and it will be "game over" for our Republic. That is why she is so feared by them. They know she will go after them and tear them out root and branch.
Why go with a second fiddle when we can play with the first?
Her run in 2008 as the VP nominee should put her at the top or not-at-all for 2012. Currently, she is still choosing not-at-all.
Her VP-nominee status gives her an edge for 2012, but does her political experience make her a better candidate?
The GOP elites would certainly do everything in their power to defeat her. They would prefer the status quo over.

If the GOP does field a candidate who wins in 2012, that new president is going to inherit one hell of a mess that makes the mess Obama inherited look like a picnic.
The question we should be asking is this:
Well, I’m a Texan and I like Perry. I don’t want to turn this into a Perry lovin’ or Perry bashing thread. I haven’t even been able to get on Free Republic much this week because of the horrible bashing of Perry.
In spite of Cain’s charm and good ideas (like his 9,9,9 plan) I don’t think he can win. Obama has ruined it for blacks for a couple of go rounds, just another great thing he’s done.
Also, you must realize that once Cain starts to be taken seriously, the attacks will start and any wart will be given a biopsy. I think his health would become a big issue if he became a serious contender.
I really still think it’s between Perry and Romney and people don’t seem to realize how much better Perry would be than Romney.
I’m praying Sarah gets in, though.

The bashing of ALL candidates should stop. Regardless of who gets the nomination, they will need the support of all of the GOP to win, and gratuitous bashing causes bad feelings (see McCain, John, who got lackluster support due to his constant stabbing of Bush).
Whether you support him or not, Cain has managed to make himself a contender without attacking anyone but Barack Obama. There is a lesson there for those who are paying attention.
Exactly, when will they get someone who can speak for real Conservatives talking about real solutions. We get a bunch of Country Clubbers telling everyone what we should be thinking rather than simply reporting.
They should have been all over the Cain win since they moved their studio to FL, likely to interview Perry or Mitt. Rather we hear their whining about nobody won who represented them.
Who they really need to interview, other than Cain, is John McCain.

They need to find of what McCanin thinks of Cain without actually having Cain on....why would they want to interview Cain..shesh../s
They should ask Wasserman Sargeant Schulz what she thinks of Cane..haha..and is she aware he is black?

I thought Netanyahu did a great job parrying against Dave Gregory, who was trying to thow him under the bus as Bibi asserted.

Got lots of thoughts today about Cain, Perry and the X Factor.

Yes. The ‘debate’ formula is not conducive to doing what you suggest as the networks who put them on (and who decided that was okay?) want fights and fights between the candidates not against Obama.
The candidates need to rise above that, ignore the barbs and concentrate on their plan and the need to defeat Obama.
Cain was definitely the grown-up in the debate and Santorum took over Michelle’s role as the screaming baby.
But people have short memories and there is plenty of time for the candidates to give mature, well thought out plans for the future.
They would have all been better off to tell the News Channels to stuff it.
With even Ron Paul polling with single digits of O, any GOP candidate can beat O.
BTW, deciding who to support based on polls at this point is silly.
The two GOP frontrunners in national polls in late September 2007 were Rudy Giuliani and Fred Thompson. The Democratic frontrunners in a Gallup poll on September 24, 2003 were Wesley Clark and Howard Dean.
