Awesome!
Let the best candidate win!

Ha!!! This coming from someone who seems to get some sort of life meaning by being Johnny-on-the-spot in jumping all over people when (gasp) someone posts about another blog on the internet! "Teacher teacher!! Billy posted a link to a blog!!" Pot - Kettle - black.
“Warming up my checkbook and pen for that donation check....
Run Sarah Run!!!”
Mine too.
As she settles her feet against the stocks, waiting for that exact moment to bolt from the stocks...
Damn she’s been so quiet...God of heaven, give her wisdom...
Do you really need her to announce 5 months before the 1str vote is cast—if that’s a worse strategy for her?
Failed analogy.
I never cry to teacher.
Sure do loathe me some bloggers though, true enough.
First rule of conservatism: be cynical of everything the elites try to tell you.”
Uh, no.
That would be the first rule of populism.
It’s one of those things that you don’t really notice until ya notice it... LOL
Understand that I am more likely to vote for Sarah Palin than any of the candidates out there right now. But as far as I can tell, she is not in the race, therefore, she does not wish to run for the office of President. If and when she decides to jump into the race, great, I have a more favorable option.
With that said, in my opinion, all the hype that the rabid Palin supporters are creating is doing more harm to her standing amongst conservatives than the “Palin haters” on the right or, for that matter, in the liberal media.
Yes, we should be cynical of everything the “elites” try to tell us. Just as we should be cynical of overzealous supporters, foaming at the mouth regarding anything and everything about their favorite candidate based on pure speculation.
Sorry, I didn’t realize you were originally from another country. Where? (just curious, none of my business really).
I currently live on a British base and work on a NATO base. Everyday I learn new idioms, cultural traits, and to appreciate context. Listening to Czechs and Poles who learned English from Brits can lead to some very funny situations. Many times, I can understand the Czechs and Poles more easily than some from English speaking countries.
To 6 - LOL (They’re no different than DUmmies)
It is standard protocol for ex-officials to be called by their highest titles. Indeed, Bushes, Clinton, et al are referred to as “Mr. President”.
Mike Huckabee is referred to as “Governor”.
Newt is referred to as “Mr. Speaker”.
Bolton is referred to as “Ambassador”.
Get the drift?
So, Palin indeed can and should be referred to as “Governor”.
Doesn’t happen all the time, but it’s pretty common.
OK, what do you think is the first rule of conservatism?
Granted, being cynical fits with populists too, but if the nature of conservatism is to put trust and power in the individual and allow them to make their own decisions, how would being led blindly by corrupted elites fit in?
I think anyone who subscribes to the concept of rugged individualism will want to verify what they are told. To desire a limited government, you need faith the vast majority are mature enough to make decisions for themselves, or will develop the ability quickly.
My statement was a flippant joke. I’d probably probably give it much more thought if I were to come up with a list of rules for conservatives. That’d still be on the list, just not first.
And people who feel compelled to snarl at someone else having the audacity to post an opinion that differs from his own.
Maybe you should consider switching to decaf. ;-)
This site is set up by Sheya, a strong Palin supporter who set up Conservatives4Palin. This site was started so that broader opinions could be discussed.

I’m from Canada and we’ve always referred to our former politicians as former___, like Former Prime Minister Trudeau.
It’s possibly also why I didn’t how Americans phrased it, because when an American ex-politician’s name was mentioned, it was always termed in Canadian usage.
