Former Alaska governor Sarah Palin has welcomed her second grandchild, Radar Online reported Monday.

Palin's son, Track, and his new wife Britta (nee Hanson) became parents over the weekend to a baby girl, name Kyla Grace.

Track, 22, married his 21-year-old high-school sweetheart in May in a small ceremony in Hatcher Pass, Alaska.

No, you are not.

Did you know there are people called "antipedobaptists" who use free-form naming conventions.

This little girl is lucky to have a mother who does not share that tradition ~ her real name is quite conventional (Scandinavian even).

But I'll always remember her as "Radar" from the way the headline writer structured things.

Wouldn't it be awesome if other politicians and their families were given the same scrutiny as the Palins? Do you know what would be awesomer? If so called “conservatives” stopped aiding the left with their cult of personality assassination.

LOL! So the kid’s got a nick before she’s eating solid food. We live in marvelous times. BTT and congratulations to the parents.

“New” being the operative word. The human gestation period is a bit longer than 3 months.

I’m reading this thread and wondering if the same FReepers would be celebrating the unwed pregnancy of Malia Obama, for example.

Absolutely. 100% agreement

Do you know what would be awesomer?

Yeah - Conservatives and/or their families flying the flag of "Family Values" and "abstinence" without their pants down around their ankles. It's embarrassing.

Maybe in pagan cultures, but what single instance of premarital fertility-testing is there in the Bible? It sounds so much like modern rationalizations for premarital sex - “We have to test each other out before we marry so we know we’re compatible.”

They'd be burning her in effigy.

I can only speak for myself, but I celebrate life brought into the world in the name of the God who wrought it. The rest is really not all that important.

Weren’t you just bragging not long ago about how many you ‘banged’ in the back seat of your Chevy?

What was wrong with you? Couldln’t you wait until you were married?

Aren’t we the pure of heart, word and deed. It is a wonderful monument to our self esteem to try and muddy the names of others, while we preem before a full length mirror to show ourselves how glorious and pure we are. PHFFFT! I have a really difficult time in the presence of the purrer than others. Bye!

Another Palin couldn’t exercise self-control until marriage. What is wrong with that family?

Nothing, apparently. The war is over. We lost.

None of your business...

newzjunkey, didn't you get the memo. The Palin family can do no wrong. If they have sex outside of marriage, it's okay. And BTW never even hint that Bristol is chubby or a poor mother.

You do realize that only Souvrn' and part of Western Europe were Christianized right off the bat (by 900 AD or so). Russia (and a whole big bunch of stuff now considered "other places") gets the date of 988 AD for the beginning Christianization.

Literacy comes much later. The development of societies above the level of the peasant village comes even later.

Let me give you the big surprise of our life ~ peasants were not stupid ~ ignorant certainly, but not stupid. A man couldn't farm without his own farm hands. Only the most fortunate of men could go through life without sons, or daughters who could attract somebody else's sons.

Just the way it was.

Did you know that in the 1700s the Colony/Nation/State of Maryland had only 78 marriages recorded! Now what do you imagine those folks were up to?

Glad to hear it Bill. I hope the parents have a long and happy marriage and many more children.

But the libs are delighting in this. Of course they are hypocrites because I’m sure most of them don’t bother to commit before conceiving either, but still this is big time fodder for the gloat fest that’s going on in the liberal universe.

BTW, the Jews and Hebrews practiced divorce. It's mentioned several times. They also practiced polygamy. That too is mentioned several times.

Then there's the case of Adam and Eve ~ now how'd that happen eh?!

In this brutal age of rough people let us celebrate the arrival of another new life. The rest of it is just ceremony.
