I want to thank you for sharing how you cared for your "girls." That really helps to hear. I am in that awkward position of knowing what you mean. I am slowly losing my best friend and at the same time becoming closer to her than ever before.
I know, and it brings tears to my eyes and a tug at my heart to think of it. It is such a hard thing, yet it’s also a soul-growing experience. Your care for her is a blessing for both of you, even though it’s difficult to see in the midst of the trial. You will persevere and you will look back on this time with satisfaction that you loved your “best friend” through the storm. May the Lord continue to give you strength and patience.
