Rice Lashes Out at Russia for Blocking U.N. Council From Tackling Climate Change

U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice this week issued a blistering rebuke of Russia, China and other countries that blocked the Security Council from adopting a statement linking the threat of climate change to international peace and security.

During the Security Council’s first formal debate in four years on the environment Wednesday, Russia was not swayed by Western nations led by Germany, this month's council president, insisting that the 15-nation panel needs to respond to the effects that climate change has had on Sudan's Darfur region and in Somalia, where the United Nations say famine had struck two areas.

Yeah, you read that right....

The UNITED STATES wants the United Nations Security Council to declare GLOBAL WARMING/The Religion of Climate Change to be a WORLDWIDE THREAT, like War.

Famine is NOT caused by War, economic unrest, or living in a damned desert, it's caused by CLIMATE CHANGE! Yeah, that's it! (I think I'm just gonna hurl...)

Did you ever, and I mean EVER IN YOUR ENTIRE LIFE, think you would be thanking RUSSIA for standing up to lunatic fringe crap from the United States, in the UN Security Council?

Achim Steiner, executive director of the U.N. Environment Program, warned the council that time is running out to respond.

“It is the speed of environmental change, including climate change, that will be increasingly at the heart of our collective concern and response,” he said in a statement posted on the U.N. website.

“There can be little doubt today that climate change has potentially far-reaching implications for global stability and security in economic, social and environmental terms which will increasingly transcend the capacity of individual nation states to manage.”

FEAR! FEAR! FEAR! FEAR! FEAR!

I neer thought I would live to see the day when Russia and China were the voices of reason and moderation and the US was the wild eyed radical.

But then I never thought I would see the day when the population had been dumbed down enough to elect an empty suit like Obama to the presidency.

IF, hypothetically, you agreed with the global warming fools, THERE WOULD BE NOTHING YOU COULD DO TO CHANGE IT!!

Developing countries such as ChIna and India would do nothing to cap or change anything. We would just be handing them an even more unequal economic playing field for nothing that would “help the planet” in return.

I recycle and reuse items not to “decrease my carbon foot print” but to save a little money, keep my personal space clean, and not be wasteful.

It's lack of personal responsibility and teaching our families to be self-sufficient that has encouraged this nanny state “we know better than you, save the planet” mentality.

Seriously, I'm sick of people flying in private jets, celebrities buying $10,000 designer dresses telling me how to live and how to spend my money. Have your dress and your jet or don't because you think it's bad but shut the hell up and stop taking my money!!!

Did you ever, and I mean EVER IN YOUR ENTIRE LIFE, think you would be thanking RUSSIA for standing up to lunatic fringe crap ...

I've been doing that quite a bit the last couple of years.
Apparently Russia was the one that blew the lid on this Global Warming conspiracy when they released/hacked the emails that showed Mann and crew cooking the data ('hide the decline', etc).
They banned homosexual parades in Moscow.
Putin has lectured the United States on spending less and getting a control of their (our) budget.
And now this, telling the UN to pound sand when they try to edict this worship of Gaia to create another global tax on 'carbon producers' (aka, people)...

What the Heck...
Its a very sad day when the USA is more communist than the commies of Russia, and when our print media makes Pravda look like a beacon of truth...

No, but I am glad Russian leaders seem to have some sense on this issue.

The world is laughing at us FRiends.

Sorry biatch but I'm with Russia and China on this one.

It's time for Americans to throw that freeloading U.N. bunch out of our country anyway. The free ride is over.
