It was juror #4 and #5..both seemed to be really close..I always believed those two were the ones that refused to convict her but maybe were convinced after the rest of the jurors showed them the evidence.

I so agree with you. We assume Guilty on the greater offenses and certainly of the lesser. A death penalty case requires that these jurors had to be capable of inflicting such a penalty. Two were known to be quite reluctant but were pressed and did eventually agree.

Baez won’t come out about that because there is a penalty phase after a conviction for 1st degree murder..they have to have basically another trial to conclude if she will fry or serve life..so there would be no reason for Baez to claim victory now

Which will be a WORSE sentence for someone like her, than death..70 years in an 8X10 cell...and she won't have it easy in prison..she'll be a target, unless she finds herself a 300 lb, 6' dyke...

I think Wendy's observation is on target. The other crime here is that the investigators did not follow up on this type of thinking. I bet there is a whole child pimping ring in the area, and Casey would be a link that should have led to them. An "accident" of too much chloroform being used in this type of situation sounds really plausable, and even the placement of duct tape could be explained as it could have been used to muffle the cries or screams of a child being used in such disgusting ways.

Casey's demeanor, although shocking and inhumane in relation to her daughter's death, is also, probably because she is scared to death of the people behind the child pimping. Who knows what they might have threatened...killing her parents, brother, friends, etc. if she mentiones her involvement with them. And, of course, having her own name exposed in relationship to such horrid practices. That is probably more important to her than anything...just having people know the truth about how she used her daughter in such a disgusting, immoral way just to make money is something she does not want told.
