As if we don’t have a million going on as it is?
BTW - go ask even the average repub voter if they kow who Rollins is or this petty squabble oer his statement.
Amongst even repub voters I’ll bet at least 75% have not a clue about this.
Both Sarah and Bachmann are great. they are different of course, but compared to the communist marxist sleeper cell destroyer Obama either is fine by me and I will have no hestiation supporting either, or maybe even both were they to team up.
Bachmann is not the enemy! Obama is. Obama is the one we must train our attacks on so that when election day comes, no atter who wins the primary, we send his treasonous butt back to Kenya once and for all.
Philosophically we FReepers line up well with Bachmann, but she’s a voter, not a leader. Plus her stint with Treasury turns me off a bit.
I like her but I am now looking at candidates to see if they can beat Obama. That is my main concern. I just get the feeling that she can’t. Not sure why. Not sure voters are really ready for a woman president. Look what the media did to Hillary. They preferred a half-black man over a woman. Look what they have done to Sarah. They just treat women differently. I don’t know a lot about Rick Perry but he seems to have a good economic history that would be a great comparison against Obama. He’s good looking (I believe looks count to some extent, Lincoln excepted!). I hope he runs. I could vote for him.
At this point in her career Michele has the skills of a great general, a leader of troops. She does not yet project the aura of a supreme commander, the leader of all. She is of great value to the GOP and Tea Party. She should develop her skill set further and one day she may be ideal for the supreme commander position.
And another thread where the Bachmann supporters can't be bothered to read the post before disparaging Palin supporters (surprise). Did you miss this?
Two candidates not yet on the list Sarah Palin and Rick Perry they make me want to campaign for their election!
Funny, I see TWO candidates mentioned there - not just Palin. But I guess you are all in a twist because your candidate is being questioned instead of glorified.
Absolutely, and to call Bachmann anything other than a staunch conservative is just plain nuts.
Funny. Palin supporters being subjected to trash on a daily basis are told that they need to deal with it because if they can't address it, then horrible things will apparently happen. Never mind that the "issues" raised have been addressed ad nauseum.
Why shouldn't this apply to others? Bachmann supporters should take this to heart -- if she is failing to generate enthusiasm within her base, then she needs to figure out why and correct it.
while Palin has not even decided to run for POTUS
Oh please. Anyone who sees what's going on and doesn't think that Palin is running (just not officially), is fooling themselves. Not to mention the whole "Palin isn't running, so support XXX" comments simply reinforce the point that Palin is the natural choice and that supporting anyone else is simply "settling". I'd get off that tack if I were you.
Apparently she really shouldn’t have you ringing doorbells and doing conservative flips to get her elected.
No, she’s not Sarah and she voted for the government’s version of the Patriot Act. She lost me there.
Well said, preach it brother!
The “There’s Something About Bachmann” thread.
Am working my way past some of this; but has been a slow turn. Of those running, thus far, however; she stands in front of the line. (Just keep looking over her head.)
The fact that Rollins went out of his way to bash Palin - and in the process alienate large numbers of Palin supporters who would be a natural crossover to Bachmann if Palin doesn't run - shows that Rollins is about subtraction, not addition (also indicated by his past work on Huck's presidential campaign). And you have to add to your base to win the primary and the general. And the fact that Bachmann didn't publicly take Rollins to the woodshed shows to me that she doesn't understand the concept either.
A congresscritter has a very different path to election and re-election than a Senator or Governor who has to win statewide. Bachmann hasn't gone through that process yet, and a presidential election cycle is not the place for on-the-job training in such an endeavor.
I like her, but I think she needs executive experience to go further up the line. Also needs to learn to speak in a more authoritative style. At times, she sounds almost whiny and pleading to me rather than forceful. She is very smart, telegenic, and has good command of the issues. Great potential, just not yet.
So far she is not running. When she declares, then by all means, is all in for Sarah.
But acting like she is a candidate now seems fruitless when we should focus on keeping Mitt from getting the nomination.
If that means getting behind Cain or Bachmann for the time being, that seems betterthan focusing all this energy on someone not even running so far.
She lost me when Rollins came out swinging at Sarah Palin. I would crawl through a blizzard to vote for Palin. Bachmann, not so much. It’ll be interesting to see how she handles herself when those 23 foster kids she’s always bringing up start selling their stories to the media.
I agree with you, but can’t offer a reason why either.
I don’t connect with any of them. I am not supposed to. I am supposed to choose a real live imperfect human being as conservative as possible and fully capable and qualified to beat the most dangerous and worst failure that is Barack Obama.
