They can make it a series. After Newt, Romney can have a go at himself (multiple episodes). Maybe even get Ron Paul to debate himself on the earmarks he's sought.

Newt was a grating, aggravated toolbag on Greta’s show last night. Instead of the alleged luminary of conservative thought, we get a tired, testy whiner with a massive sense of entitlement.
Nobody took you out of context, you washed up, gas powered ego-clown. You said what you said, with almost zero prompting, like it was on the tip of your tongue. Now you act like a sniveling child when called to explain your own words.
You’d have to be a masochistic fool to donate money to Gingrich’s campaign at this point. He’s a train wreck, and the media attention he’s getting now is merely to savor the self-inflicted carnage.
Newt needs to call it quits and show some humility. He’s screwed and about as electable as John Edwards. Choke on what you have said, Newt, and throw your support behind Sarah Palin. Second thought, just quit.
Newt you took a wrong turn somewhere. You could have been a great asset to our country in our time of need. Instead you have gone over to the dark side. I don’t think you understand the gravity of the national situation. You don’t have the right answers so you cannot help us. Please get out now.
ONLY thing Newt did wrong was saying Ryans fiscal plans were going TOO FAR..
WHEN they didn’t really go far enough.. but were “passable”..
Newt telegraphed his moderate stance when a radical stance was needed..
Newt played to the RINOs and exposed himself to the TpCaucus..
When a radical change is needed a moderate change is simply not good enough..
Newt has the principles of a whore.. with a menu of options.. priced differently..

Establishment RINOs don't seem to understand words like "no" and "stop." Stop spending. No new government programs and/or bureaucracies. Stop illegal immigration. Stop the healthcare debacle. No cap and trade. No "comprehensive" immigration "reform" in any form.
Stop "compromising" with dems, because it only means more of the above.
Being that the establishment doesn't like hearing this (it's been their business plan for years), they're now engaging in a sort of unspoken war against the Tea Party and core conservatives. WE are seen as a threat to them, hence their hostility is barely contained.
Newt's petulent reaction is a microcosm of the RINO/establishment class at large. They just don't get it.

Rush says he just wants a post at the Aspen Institute after the election. Rush’s Sullivan ratings are going down the tube on that one.
Rush is right though that Newt is looking for a niche.
The only niche Newt wants is hearing the importance of his own voice. He wants the Left to see him as an intellectual.
We on the Right know Newt is smart, but being an intellectual is no big deal with us. We want competence and leadership. Newt just needs to be liked and respected. Never ever vote for someone who wants to be liked.
A Rush caller says Newt was feminized by his wife. He may have a point now that we know that Newt had almost a half million debit to Tiffany’s.

Alas, compromise is the curse of Democracy. As Churcill said it is the worst of all possible forms of government, except for all the others. I imagine, however, the conservatives will continue to stick to principles and loose another election.

Afater all, what else could Ryan do? I certainly admire Paul Ryan. Flukie Newt didn’t do himself any favors on “On the Record” last night.
