Half of state senate faces recall efforts; lawsuit also filed (WI)

It appears many in Wisconsin would like an electoral do-over.

Paperwork has been filed to recall 16 state senators — Democrats and Republicans — according to the Government Accountability Board, although the paperwork is incomplete in three of those cases.

Those 16 include every single senator who can be recalled this year. The remaining 17 state senators, who won election or re-election last November, are constitutionally protected from recall efforts for the first year of their terms.

“Add this to the list of incredible, astonishing developments that have happened in Wisconsin politics over the past two weeks,” said Mordecai Lee, a former Democratic legislator who now teaches political science at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

Liberals cannot handle NOT being in power. Either libs in government, or libs in the unions and other liberal groups. Now that the government won’t rubber-stamp everything they want, they throw tantrums. They run away. They run to the courts.

It is sick. Very very sick. The Republicans never did this whne they were the minority and had no chance to stop legislation. These people steamrolled Republicans when they were in the majority.

The Republicans gave them more floor time to debate this in the Assembly - more than any other bill has gotten in the entire state’s HISTORY and it wasn’t enough. They were just ranting for 60 hours.

The rule of law in WI is under attack.

The Obama forces are directly behind the recall of the GOP senators. There are out-of-state Obama people already on the ground in every district where they are initiating a recall. The rumor is that they are planning on spending thirty millions dollars to recall the GOP senators.
The Democrats do no longer believe in democracy...they have completely been taken over by the socialists...and Obama and his direct cohorts are leading the way...Elections no longer matter to the Democrats.

Voters, once again showing their notoriously short attention spans and fickle ways.

“I hate you, but I like you but I hate... Oooohhh! Bright and shiny things!!”

Well, it’s time for all-out political war, and I welcome it. When and if there’s a fund for defending our guys, let’s be generous.

As if the protestors give a crap...

$8 million to restore the Capitol to its pre-protest condition, Wisconsin media are reporting. The estimate includes $500,000 to remove adhesive from taped posters, $1 million to repair the structure’s exterior and $6.5 million for rebuffing the interior marble.

8 Republicans are up for recall and the Democrats actually got the paperwork right to do it.

We’ll see if they can get the signatures.

FTA - Paperwork also has been filed to recall eight Democrats: Holperin, Lena Taylor of Milwaukee, Spencer Coggs of Milwaukee, Mark Miller of Monona, Robert Wirch of Pleasant Prairie, Julie Lassa of Stevens Point, Fred Risser of Madison and Dave Hansen of Green Bay.

The recall paperwork, however, against Taylor, Lassa and Risser is incomplete.

WHEN the Judge-ordered opening of the Captiol resumes, the State should REQUIRE signing of a "Reposible for any damage and/or cleanup costs" by EVERY visitor.

Likewise, the entry should identify the person, his PLACE OF RESIDENCE, and contact information, along with a photo ID.

I’ll tell you a frightening thought my two grand daughters are in WI public schools. The oldest one is in 6th grade which is now middle school. One of her teachers was discussing this as Democracy in action so in her charming little go against the grain way she explained to him why she thought it was just the opposite.

She told him how Gov. Walker was elected and how she thought the legislator’s going away was ruining Democracy. She is in the gifted program and supposedly they encourage out of the box thinking and this won’t be held against her. However see what I mean about a scary thought? She is in the sixth grade and the teacher obviously doesn’t seem to get it.

Like I’ve said before - 25% of the voters are hardcore leftists idiots, 25% are simple morons, 25% independent morons, and the rest are variable degree of informed and misinformed, give or take a few per cent here and there. My point is, we are screwed.
