Half of Britain 'would vote for far-Right parties if they gave up violence'

Almost half the country would back a far-Right party if they gave up violence, an astonishing new poll revealed today.

A total of 48 per cent said that they would support a group that vowed to crack down on immigration and Islamic extremists.

They would also restrict the building of mosques and order the flag of St George or the Union Jack be flown on all public buildings.

The report identified a resurgence of English identity, with 39 per cent preferring to call themselves English rather than British. Just 5 per cent labelled themselves European.

In one of the most revealing questions, pollsters Populus asked people if they would back a party that ‘wants to defend the English, create an English parliament, control immigration and challenge Islamic extremism’.

A total of 48 per cent said they would either ‘definitely support’ or ‘consider supporting’ a party with such an agenda, if it shunned violence and fascist imagery.

No, in the UK with a camera on just about every street corner, and strict "hate crime" laws that pretty much undermine free speech as we know it, one has to be careful about getting his mug on camera while expressing displeasure at the Muslimization of his country.

English is an ethnicity like german or italian or scottish, British is a nationality...

A scotsman, an englishman, or someone who is welsh can all be british, but only the englishman is actually english.

Or to put it another way, if your ethnicity is english, your english, but your nationality is british, if your ethnicity is welsh, your nationality is british, some of the english folks, have no care for being grouped under the nationality of British, and prefer to be referred t o by their ethnic background (english).

Yep, on my strolls through London, I often worry about being beaten up by a conservative, probably a vicar or Tory barrister or banker, or something like that. Very dangerous. OTOH, I thrill at the thought of taking a pleasant walk through solidly left-leaning black and “Asian” neighborhoods to enjoy the goodwill of mankind I get there. It is we Americans who are craven cowards. Our children or grandchildren will be despised minorities, official discriminated against, and subject to anti-European anti-white, anti-American propaganda at schools and the media and so taught to despise themselves and their heritage. In Britain, you can be arrested for being a nationalist. In American we are freer, and already doomed. What is our excuse?
