Lessons from Frank Bailey's Tell-All Sarah Palin Book [zotworthy leftist garbage]
U.S.News & World Report ^ | 2/25/11 | Susan Milligan

Posted on 02/26/2011 11:48:02 AM PST by FTJM

What have we learned recently from a couple of embarrassing disclosures recently involving elected officials?

Put down the BlackBerry. Move gently away from the keyboard. At least, for heaven’s sake, think before you hit “send.”

Former Rep. Chris Lee learned this when a woman decided to forward to a gossip website messages and a shirtless photo the married former congressman had sent. The motivations of the woman, who cowardly remained anonymous until the Washington Post outed her, were overshadowed by the impact on the congressman, who quickly resigned.

And now we have Sarah Palin, the subject of a gossipy tell-all book in the works by a former aide, Frank Bailey. The Daily Beast obtained a manuscript of the book, which relies partly on E-mails Bailey exchanged with Palin. One can’t deny that the E-mails are revealing--including the one in which Palin describes her role in politics as a “divine calling.” But revealing other private matters, such as an E-mail in which Palin allegedly alludes to some marital troubles, reflects real indiscretion from someone who supposedly had Palin’s trust. [See photos of Palin and her family.]

By the way, the marital troubles are discussed in an E-mail in which Palin tells Bailey she thought her husband was working behind her back on the Troopergate matter. “We’re not like other couples, Frank. We don’t talk,” Palin reportedly wrote to Bailey (cue laughter from longtime couples at the idea that not talking makes the Palins unique). [See a roundup of political cartoons on Palin.]

“What have we learned recently from a couple of embarrassing disclosures recently involving elected officials?”

That any idiot can write a supposed ‘tell-all’ book and even more idiots will believe everything in them, without critical thinking. Oh, and the MSM will lap it up only if it’s a conservative or Republican.

That is what we have learned.

A contrived story for a supposed news magazine to engage in rank gossip for political purposes.

This is reminding me of Kitty Kelly's book about the Reagans.

Pure garbage that the libs will lap up, and unfortunately, a handful of PDSers on FR.

What's cowardly about anonymously outing a corrupt official of any party?

Before the author of this piece puts too much stock in what Bailey says. Maybe she should ask to see copies of the emails, instead of just relying on what the guy wrote in his book.

You know the Left insanely hates and are horribly terrified of a person when they offer untold riches to entice close friends of that person to betray that person.

Jesus was lucky in that he had only one Judas.

Sarah should become president just for the revenge—THAT would be the coldest dish of all for the Evil Left.

You PDSers still trying huh? Semi anti-Palin story that doesn’t neccessarily delve in the story deeply and appropriately makes it “allegedly” but is vet close to being the one that Jim Rob warned you guys to quit posting! You guys got one foot out of this door

How much do you want to bet the emails are forwarded? And therefore could be forged?

As far as the truth is concerned he might as well have saved a lot of time and money and just sat home in his boxers and made up whatever he wanted to put in his trashy book. Most of it’s probably fabricated anyway.

Yep.

Or just made up.

I could send an email to myself on a second account and then save it and change the ‘from’ heading.

Easy to do.

Marital problems??? Well I guess I must confess.

Mrs p6 and I DO NOT sleep together more than one or two nights a week! It has been that way for over 25 years!

Despite that fact we've raised three great kids there are obviously serious problems here.

Forget of course that I work the night shift and she works the day shift.

We've often joked that we're like Sam and George the sheepdogs in the old cartoons as we trade places in the bed.

Um. He had password access to the account. I think it’d be entertaining to see him try to prove that all of her (allegedly) juicy emails are really hers.

The primary lesson from this is that when it comes to entrusting your online accounts to a friend and colleague, it’s not enough for them to be the kind of friend that’ll help you move. You need the kind of friend that’ll help you move bodies.

Even if they aren’t forged, who cares? Sarah is a human - she’s in a long-term marriage - of course there will be problems. She just trusted too many people who have betrayed her. I’m sure she’s learned her lesson about that.

Short of finding out that she murdered somebody, I could care less what people are saying about her. Chris Matthews compared her to Quaddafi the other night - I’m not kidding!!

She’s great, I love her and her enemies are making fools of themselves.

Wouldn’t matter if he had one or not.

The demonrats would just ‘decree’ him to be a ‘natural born’ citizen.
