Cooling Water Intake Requirements "If strictly enforced, NERC contends one-third of U.S. electricity capacity may need to be retired."

Coal Ash Debate "To ensure the safe disposal of fly ash and other residues produced by coal-fired power plants, EPA is considering designating the materials -- for the first time -- as hazardous waste."

"Classifying these "coal combustion byproducts" (CCBs) as hazardous waste could cost billions and force increases in electricity rates."

This is happening right now. Obama and EPA are bypassing the law and using whatever they can to press their agenda. Not only is all this unnecessary it is going to get DEEPLY into your pocketbook and soon.

This and oil prices are a double whammy to the economy. We have always moderated the cost of living even with rising oil prices because so much of our electricity, what powers most of our homes, businesses and manufacturing has been produced by relatively cheap home produced COAL.

Read the article. This is nothing but feel good crap by EPA and enforces Obama's socialist agenda of control and ruin of the United States.

Just one example of how unnecessary these rules are, we've used fly ash for decades as an effective low-cost replacement for cement. Safely.

Congressman John Shimkus lamblasted Lisa Jackson today and quoted some interesting numbers about how MUCH it COSTS and how much energy is wasted in controlling CO2... 30% of the power produced would be used to control CO2. Unless we use about 30% less power the rules just cost money and make more CO2.

This is as stupid as cleaner diesel engines that use more fuel and produce more CO2. We can't have diesels that use less fuel and are clean enough for Europe because of CARB. But we can have industrial diesels that burn more fuel and produce more CO2 but it is clean CO2!!

This is what the American people wanted when they voted for Barry. Let’s see how they feel when their electric bills double, when they have more rolling blackouts, and when the gas shortages start. All those leftnuts who thought Barry was going to magically pay their bills, put solar panels and wind generators on their homes, and bring them a leftnut Utopia are going to be very disappointed. When Barry’s EPA is through screwing over the economy, his chances of winning a second term will be less than zero.

The intent is to eliminate coal burning power....while restricting ANY ANWAR drilling, simply to appease the giant oil industry of the Middle East. We are not allowed to build nuclear, we will have coal-fired eliminated, and we will all be required to have Propeller Farms (with 30% availability) and 100's of acres of solar panels, to achieve the Agenda.

NONE of this is approved by the citizenry or their Representatives, but merely DICTATED by the Appointed Socialists we have now.

DEFUND ALL THESE REGULATORY UN-CONSTITUTIONAL BODIES, along with the CZARS, and stop pouring tax dollars into Unions.
