Ted Nugent: I love Palin but I couldn’t vote for her right now
Hot Air ^ | 1/6/11 | Allahpundit

Dude, I think we just found our keynote speaker for RINOcon.

“(Palin’s) coming from the street, she’s coming from the we-the-people rank-and-file, she makes sense when she talks, she says all the right things, she’s sincere, she’s knowledgeable , she’s articulate, she’s damn good-looking, plus she kills moose, how can you go wrong?” Nugent gushed.

However, when Cooper pressed Nugent on whether Palin would make a good president, Nugent balked.

“It’s too early to tell. Right know, if we had a vote, I couldn’t vote for Sarah Palin. And I love her. I love her madly, and I respect her.”

I never thought I’d say this but now I’m honestly curious to know who the Nuge is backing in 2012. He’s campaigned with her, he’s written fawning tributes to her — I figured he was a true blue Palinista come the primaries. What now? Is Uncle Ted a Pence supporter? Mitch Daniels? Everything I thought I knew about the world has been shattered.

My God! How many times will these idiot “Charlie Browns” fall for the liberal Lucy “stupid” argument?

fhayek, Oh my gosh. Last week everyone told me I was listening to too much MSM or accused me of being a liberal plant on this site - both of which are totally wrong. I am a complete non-conformist, and as Thoreau eluded - “march to the beat of a different drummer”, so we cannot go with your summation of how I weigh my opinions. If you could believe me, I desperately am trying to understand what you folks see in her that would make her a great pres. I’ve read several
lengthy explanations and respect their opinions, and some of them made great points, but I’m not there.

I with Ted. I like Palin, but I’m waiting to see the entire field of candidates.

Lots of heavy flak over the target, eh?

There is knowledge, and then there is wisdom.

Most here at FR profess belief in God, without such, there is no right or wrong.

Can a woman lead her country out of danger? I submit Esther as an example.

Let’s just let the chips fall. The fire will refine the candidates!

After her DADT debacle, she should be running on the dem ticket.

Ok, now you all are really cementing my opinion of Palin supporters. Your brain cells are constipated. I would support someone else but I’m not ridiculing you for not agreeing with me. Now I really can’t vote for her when I listen to you folks. I’ve been accused of being an extremist but next to some of you I’m a woosh

I hadn’t heard about that—not been on FR as much lately.

So how is it you hold with such ineffectual criticisms of her?

You know what else I see now - the republicans are going to be fatallly split if this keeps up! We may lose the whole damn election because it doesn’t sound like you guys will support the party if Sarah isn’t the nominee. This is making me sick

And here I thought Ted had a pair....

My hunch is that Nugent would be unequivocally supportive of Palin, if only Huckabee weren't talking about another run. I'm not exactly sure what the strange attraction is there - perhaps the thing about Huck eating squirrels back in college.

By ineffectual, are suggesting I’m indecisive of her? I am quite decisive. I am saying I don’t see where the intelligence is. She MAY be intelligent but I am missing it.
And since I don’t see it, I hope she’s not the nominee. You all see it, so you’re supporting her. I’m not faulting you for that.

Male chauvinism aside, the funny thing is without using Sarah Palin you daily anti-Palin thread posters wouldn't be s..t around here. You use Sarah Palin's popularity in the same way the dimwits in the media use Rush Limbaugh's name.

Like them you couldn't hold your own without leeching off of someone superior.

I think the Romney cronies will fall in line behind Sarah once she kicks their hero’s butt from one end of Iowa to the other. All these attacks on Sarah come from the Romney crowd.

Sorry Nuge. After Barack Hussein Obama, a retarded chimpanzee would be a huge improvement and could do a hell of a lot better job than Barry is doing. Let’s not get TOO picky here.
