FOX Channel knocked out on DIRECTV
Vanity
Posted on 12/09/2010 3:49:59 AM PST by Ahithophel
Anyone else experience this? Within a minute of Fox & Friends coming on the air at 5 am CST on DIRECTV Thursday morning, the channel was replaced with the Ci Channel (never heard of it) followed by a "technical difficulty" message from DIRECTV. Interesting timing/coincidence in light of suspected Wikileaks-related attacks on MasterCard, etc. I'm verklempt; discuss.
TOPICS: Miscellaneous; News/Current Events
KEYWORDS: directv; fox

....ask your provider to explain, or better yet ask them when they got their “instructions” from the FCC.

Yes. Says they’re having technical difficulties and to switch back to the non-HD channel until they get it fixed.

Funny, isn’t it, that the channels that you never watch never have “technical difficulties”.
To: Doogle
I have this provider and I am wondering. We had better organize some other way, folks, just in case they try to do this to us. We need a way to communicate and connect if they plan widespread disruptions so that we cannot know what is happening. Make no mistake, there are strong signs that we are in the hands of Revolutionaries. They are bold, they do not care whether the country and it's people go down. Could many of them be HIGH on something? You decide.

I’d feel a lot better if I knew there was a ‘Plan B’ for Free Republic, should we be more than temporarily disrupted. Anyone?

There are couple of alt/freeper sites out there, don’t have the links handy.
Why are you looking for an alternative “entertainment” when we should be lighting torches and taking up pitchforks?
Seriously, if the left takes down our communications then the jig is up. Hop in your jeep and either head for DC with your cammo or head for your bugout location. It’s “the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine”

Yeah, I’m constantly noticing the same phenomenon. And ditto for the radio stations I’ve never listened to. They’re always on the air.

Lotsa meteor shower activity this month. Just a meteor that interrupted the beam from the uplink station to the Clarke belt?

If a Digital channel in the forest goes down and no one is watching....
....does anyone post on the internet about it?

When our kids were younger they called that TBN woman the “Poodle Lady”. We thought that was a good name for her since she does indeed look like a groomed poodle.
