No Taxes For The Ground Zero Mosque

Sacred Sites: Developers of the Ground Zero mosque have applied for federal grant money to help with its construction. They may have the right to build it, but having taxpayers foot the bill would be the ultimate insult.

As Thanksgiving travelers were being fondled and groped on their way to grandma's house in a futile effort to prevent another 9/11 attack, developers of a proposed "cultural center" within blocks of the site of that attack were asking these same travelers to fork over their tax dollars to build what many consider not a bridge over a cultural divide but a slap in the face to the victims of terror.

That’s right. Watched the most recent episode of “Law & Order SVU” the other night. The writers managed to build the plot around the demonstrations at Park 51. The detectives from SVU arrived at the site and were immediately told why so many citizens were demonstrating. Of course Marissa Hargitay’s character spat back at them that they should just relax, it was just going to be a community center for basketball etc etc, so how was that a threat? The demonstrators stated their belief the center could be used as a staging ground for possible further attacks. You could tell by the looks on the detectives’ faces that they were clearly trying to tell the audience the demonstrators were nuts, just some lunatic right-wing imbeciles. Wonder how many sheeple take their political and cultural cues from these police programs, which are nothing but sly conduits for left-wing pro-Muslim propaganda. You can’t even watch a program for entertainment anymore without getting your you-know-whats kicked by watching raw reality get rewritten, twisted into knots and turned completely upside down.

No, they do not. Not the legal "right," unless it is specifically granted to them by the relevant jurisdiction.

My church can't build a new sanctuary, on property we've owned for more than 15 years, because the city prefers to drive us off. First it was "environmental," and now we've learned that the city's long-term plan shows a city conference center on our site.

Everyone's "right" to build is conditional, whether they're a religious group, a business, or a private individual.
