When you say no evidence surfaced, you mean that rows 15-25 weren’t covered with PETN and RDX explosive residue?
And the secret wasn’t kept. Stephanopoulos blurted it out on the air on September 11. So did Katie Couric. Then John Kerry did the same thing a few hours later on Larry King Live. Then he did it again six days later on Hardball.
You’d be amazed at how easy it is to keep a secret when nobody wants to hear the truth.
Thus far this is the risky position Beck is putting himself in.
What you say of accusers is true, though with respect to the 0bama administration, it is he and his cabal of Leftists who have been "reckless" with the truth. To his credit, Beck has always gone out on a limb...and been right about 0bama and his acolytes; He acts on instinct much of the time.
This is probably one of those times.
So investigation and some measure of solid evidence to support the missile hypothesis is necessary to avoid these negative consequences and ending up doing more damage than good.
The negatives cut both ways as I see it; The problem for 0bama and this government is credibility EVEN IF they manage to provide more than some measure of "evidence." If would have to be irrefutably rock solid.
I don't believe the administration is providing any evidence, they're not even addressing it. As far as government in toto, the DOD, NASA, NORAD combined say "not a missile."
There is quite a bit of evidence and research supporting the contrail hypothesis.
Therefore, I believe, independent research is going to have to come up with something fairly solid to force any further reaction from any governmental body.
Unless someone does this - and Beck can report on it - the missile hypothesis is not going much further, if at all.
That's why I think Beck is on a limb here. In his other leaps, he's had more with which to back his assertions. I don't see that here.

As the largest heavy lifter ever built, it made sense as an extreme example for comparison.
Where have you seen public commentary on this particular incident made by L.A. airspace air traffic controllers?
Any commerical fisherman or casual pleasure boater would also have to keep the secret if he saw a missle enter or exit the sea.
How many miles from a commercial or pleasure boat can you see before the curvature of the earth makes something out of view?
The 4,000 or so residents of Catalina Island certainly must have noticed and ICBM exploding from the sea right next to their homes.

Ah, well I freely admit that I do not have the time to read every post and comment.... but all I have observed thus far is the Chinese the Chinese the Chinese.... well this does NOT make sense to me given for practical purposes IF this was a missile the Chi-coms are already in the 'catbird' seat over US economically.... Just does not add up to logic from my very limited knowledge in all things push and pull from the global community.
None of it makes any sense. It was a video of a plane and a lot of suckers thought and continue to think that it was something else despite all reason and evidence. What can you do?
Personally speaking there is a 'history' of government by action/inaction planting seeds to anyone and everyone to cause disbelief in their claims... I have NO CLUE as all I have is what others say... however, the finger pointing to the Chinese does not add up .... they already have what they have purchased... SO IF this was a 'threat' to US it must be from someone who is attempting to force an outcome that has not yet been reached.
