Carnival is going to to remove the ship from their line because it is not repairable.

What is the failure that is so catastrophic that the ship was sea worthy last week and and condemned this week?

That must have been one hell of an engine fire. It seems as though much power generation systems was damaged. According to one report, they did have auxiliary generators but still not enough power to provide many basic services.

...sea worthy last week and and condemned this week...

Inaccurate assessment last week? That would explain this week's delightful cruise.

The ship entered service on 2 July 2008.

“It seems as though much power generation systems was damaged.”
I meant to type: It seems as though much power of the generation system was damaged.

Oh. I thought DIW was short for “Dithering in Washington”.

They don’t make them like they used too. Where was she built? Taiwan? France?

Okay, one more try with a sip of coffee.

No AC, No “hot” food”???

At this time of year, the horrors???

Buck it up and live like it was your last minute.

Don’t shake hands with anyone, don’t drink any water unless it comes in a bottle or you purify it yourself.

I am going on a cruise in December to the West Coast of Mexico. I will be taking my Lifesaver Bottle.

Purifies any water and I am totally confident after drinking water from an alligator farm in Puerto Aventuras.

The people freaked when I did it and warned my not to do it.

I showed them the Lifesaver Bottle and said everything will be fine and it was.

Love Lifesaver.

Don’t leave home without it.

No all you can eat buffet tables? The passengers must be rioting.

Passengers will be fine as long as the booze holds out.

Back in the 1970s my mother was on a cruise ship that ran up on a sandbar somewhere in the Bahamas. While they were waiting for a tug to come and pull them off, they actually had to helicopter more booze out.

45 or 50 buses? Good luck to those on board. They may have a long wait.
