Raleigh, N.C. Seven-term Democratic Congressman Bob Etheridge on Wednesday said he will call for a recount in his re-election bid, where he trails Republican challenger Renee Ellmers by about 1,600 votes. Ellmers claimed victory late Tuesday, and The Associated Press also declared her the winner in the tight Second District race.

Then, in Etheridge's home area of Sampson County more than 450 votes were "found" - ALL FOR ETHERIDGE - thus dropping the winning percentage to just under 1% enabling Etheridge to call for a recount!
This is statistically impossible, especially in consideration that U.S. Senator Burr was re-elected by 55% to 45% over NC Sec. of State Elaine Marshall.
Let the Democratic public officials in charge of NC's electoral process know that the nation is watching them.
Call or e-mail and voice your concerns regarding this statistically impossible discovery of 450+ votes for Etheridge to:
Sec. of State Elaine Marshall (who just lost to Burr!, and is from the same neck of the woods as Etheridge): main number 919-807-2010
Executive Asst. to Sec. Marshall: Jennell Baughman: email@example.com
Gen. Counsel to Sec. Marshall: Robert Wilson: firstname.lastname@example.org
State Board of Elections Executive Director - Gary Bartlett (another Dem): (t) 866-522-4723; direct telephone line 919-715-0135 e-mail; email@example.com

This will give Etheridge’s people time to recanvass any graveyard precincts they may have missed earlier this week. There are also probably a few storerooms that haven’t reported in, and the trunk of the campaign manager’s car needs to be searched more carefully.
Just goes to show ya. Democrats have no class and no integrity.
How does this work, exactly? When a Democrat calls for a “recount”, do they automatically declare him the winner? Or do they go through the motions of “recounting the votes” before they make an open declaration that the Republican is the loser?
There fixed it.
Let's not forget all those "registered" cartoon characters that may have cast a ballot for their favorite Democrat..
This crowd is so corrupt it gags me to talk about them.
Who are you???
Fortunately, 1,600 will be a tough number to overcome in a single Congressional district. Gore couldn’t top Bush’s end-of-night 1,600 in the whole of Florida. So, there will have to be some serious, obvious cheating for Etheridge to pull this one out.
BTW, is he the one who manhandled the guy with the video camera?
Etheridge would have dropped off the extra ballots on election night, but he had a boy to abuse.

Heads need to roll
Scumbag cheaters. I hope the R candidate has some good lawyers. Time to start writing editorials to local papers in NC.
You know what? Why doesn't OUR side 'discover boxes' of missing ballots. Let's get as dirty.
Seems that way in the last few years, doesn't it?
I live in the “Lillington Strangler’s” district. he is a jack ass.
When 'votes are found' I want to see photos of place they were found, descriptions of the circumstances and sworn testimony from the finder. Maybe the threat of perjury charges will discourage this. The chain of evidence used to prosecute criminals should be followed with these ballots, and if they can't show the chain was not broken the ballots should be thrown out.
I just called the NCGOP, Renee Ellmers is setting up a recount legal fund. If you want to contribute the number is 252-220-0181.
Leftists are loading up their trunks with “suddenly discovered votes” as we speak.
Oh no, that guy? I hope he loses dearly. What a creep.
