Hillary Clinton to run for US president's office in 2016?

LONDON: Speculation is rife that Hillary Clinton may run for the US president's office in 2016, as her husband Bill is back on the campaign trail -- offering thanks to those who backed her in 2008 against Barack Obama, a media report said.

According to Britain's 'The Daily Telegraph', former President Bill Clinton has been laying the foundations for the Secretary of State's another try in 2016, by campaigning for Democratic politicians who helped his wife Hillary run for the president's office against President Obama two years back.

In fact, Bill, now a globe-trotting philanthropist, went to Española, New Mexico, the site of the first European colony in America, last week to campaign for Diane Denish, the Democratic candidate for the governor.

Denish had supported Hillary against Obama in 2008 and Bill was back to repay the debt; he made crystal clear who he was representing on the campaign trail -- and it wasn't Obama, the report said.

"I planned to do about one stop for everybody that helped Hillary run for president because she's one of only two members of the president's cabinet who cannot participate in politics," he told a gathering of 4,000 people.

As Secretary of State, he reminded people, is not permitted to campaign. "Then I got out here and started stirring around and realised that a lot of people were mad and even more confused and I didn't want it on my conscience so I just loaded up and started strolling around," Bill said.

Bill's energetic reappearance on the campaign trail comes just as rumours, some of them eagerly fuelled by the Clinton camp, swirl that Hillary might replace the hapless Joe Biden as Obama's vice-presidential running mate in 2012 or even challenge the President for the Democratic nomination if his popularity continues to slide.

It’ll be the return of the PUMA brigade. The bloodbath will be popcorn-worthy.

Ted Kennedy came **this** close to taking President Jimmy Carter out of the running in the 1980 primaries. Barack Obama is 10X worse than former President Carter. You do the math.

"Barry is going to step down “for the good of the party” and because America is “so rasis and not ready for a black president”. I called this months ago. If the Rat wipe out is close to what we think it will be, it will make 1994 look like a bingo game. Hilly will pass her resignation in at 12:01 am on 11/03. 2012 will officially start. Now how will the blacks react: Admit Soetoro was a failure or see him getting pushed out? Because that may well determine whether or not the majority of the blacks vote or stay home in 2012. If they don't, look out 1972 and 1984, an even larger Rat evisceration is coming.

Here's what I think will happen. Early in 2011, Hillary resigns as Secretary of State. A wholesale cabinet purge is coming anyway; Gates has said he's leaving, Geithner is treading water.

In late Spring, Hillary announces that she's forming the "Exploratory Committee" about running for Potus.

In the Summer, she announces. 2016 is too late for her, and she wants payback for what happened to her in 2008 (and honestly, she most certainly did have the Dem nomination stolen from her, starting with the Iowa and Nevada caucuses.)

Barry got what he wanted. ObamaCare and his name in the history books. He’s done and the boys at the DNC are done with him. They’ve burned out the race card so Barry isn’t much good to them anymore.

At some point during the 2012 primary, Rush will sound the bugle for Op Chaos part II. Then it will be PUMA + OpChaos foot soldiers on one side vs ACORN + blacks + SEIU on the other. Should be quite a spectacle.

Hillary may well be president a lot sooner than 2012.
A) Obama is forced to resign. B) Biden picks her for VP, C) Biden resigns (for reasons of health). Hillary is President.
OR
A) After Obama and the Dems suffer a beating in the election of 2010, Hillary has a big dust up with Obama over some issue. B) She resigns in early 2011, C) Runs against Obama D) Beats him in the primary and faces Sarah Palin or Mitt Romney and wins. E) She is president in January 20, 2012. (She appoints Bill Clinton as Sec. of State,)

2012. Bank on it.

No bet. Hillary won't run if Sarah's in it. She knows down to her bones that Sarah has her beat in every single department, and will crush her like a bug.

Add to that, the fact that blacks aren't going to come out in force for Hillary, after only four years of Obama. They'll feel gypped, no matter what Obama's reasons are for stepping aside. Blacks will believe that Hill and Bill forced him out, so that she could run.

In fact, the Democrats can't run anyone BUT Obama in 2012, because of that trap. Unfortunately for them, he's not going to make it to 2012. He's already unraveling before our eyes, and he hasn't even hit 24 months yet.

The Dems are in one helluva pickle. There's no way out for them. It's over.

Agreed, odds are good she’ll run as an incumbent in 2012.

Hillary looks more like Helen Thomas every day. If she ever debated Palin, the media would demand that the lights be turned off.

This is idiotic.
She will run in 2012, or never.
In 2016 she’ll be nearly 70.
Her husband and their tired team of Dem hacks and spin doctors are still around, subtly helping her out to ‘position’ herself as far away from Obama as they can get, every chance they get, yet still look stubbornly ‘loyal’, and not treacherous to him or the country. This will only increase in the second 2 years of the Obama Presidency, when it will be LOTS easier for Dem officeholders , from top to bottom, to do, playing off the sinking popularity of their “Boss”, as his popularity plummets to about 15%.

Barry is going to step down “for the good of the party”

That could very well be. My feeling is Hussein will cite family reasons among others if any, for stepping down. All these stories about his marital problems, about Moochelle supposedly pressuring Barry not to seek a second term are I think being leaked on purpose. He could always say the standard ' the presidency is taking a toll on my family' or ' I would like to spend more time with my wife and daughters' etc.. and clear the way for Hillary. That way he wont have to suffer the embarrassment of a 49 state defeat while making peace with the Clintons, and also possibly being promised the position of Sec General of the UN some time in the future.

“…If such is true…”

Then for anyone to be talking about this now is doing nothing more than feeding a DNC side show; with both Clintons doing the Lightening Rod and distraction game, which they do so well.

Enough of them might, if Hussein steps aside and strongly endorses Hillary. It will be a deal worked out in advance.

You may be onto something there. "The World" would love having a "Child of the World" in that job. I hadn't thought of that.

Hillary was born in Oct. 1947. It’s either 2012 or nothing I believe.
