How corporate interests and Republican insiders built the Tea Party monster (major puke alert)
Rolling Stone ^

It's taken three trips to Kentucky, but I'm finally getting my Tea Party epiphany exactly where you'd expect: at a Sarah Palin rally. The red-hot mama of American exceptionalism has flown in to speak at something called the National Quartet Convention in Louisville, a gospel-music hoedown in a giant convention center filled with thousands of elderly white Southerners. Palin who earlier this morning held a closed-door fundraiser for Rand Paul, the Tea Party champion running for the U.S. Senate is railing against a GOP establishment that has just seen Tea Partiers oust entrenched Republican hacks in Delaware and New York. The dingbat revolution, it seems, is nigh.

They just don't get it. This movement is much bigger than the 1960's Vietnam War protest. They'll find out in November.

The left is projecting again. Since it was "organized" by a "vanguard" of professional agitators going all the way back to the Bolsheviks, liberals/socialists/communists therefore assume that Conservatives must likewise be organized and led from above.
That average Americans can think and organize themselves and come together in a true grassroots rebellion against the socialist takeover of America is completely foreign to the liberal mindset.
To: Beave Meister
I like how he portrays a gvt employee as having been “picking up a check from gvt hsi whole life”.
True enough.
But if it were a liberal, the same resume would be described as a “lifetime of public service”.

National Quartet Convention in Louisville, a gospel-music hoedown in a giant convention center filled with thousands of elderly white Southerners.Lefties make me sick. I am no fan of Quartet music, but I know where they are in terms of loving this country and giving their lives in support of it (many in a war that saved civilization.)
To: Beave Meister
This movement is much bigger than the 1960's Vietnam War protest. SDS and other so called peace protest organizers were aided by Communist organizations. The Weather Underground committed naked treason with their support of the North Vietnamese Communist military.
It was no more a "peace movement" than today's Code Pink and ANSWER protesters are. They openly support the enemy in combat and celebrate their victories. That is choosing a side in combat that is contrary to the homeland.
There were well-meaning housewives and college students who were unaware of the involvement of Communists in promoting and funding these protests.
But we are told that is "scaremongering" to bring it up. Nothing but a "Red Scare". Yet this conspiracy theory that ALL dissent against the Obama regime is "racist" and/or funded by "big corporations" (the kind that gave wildly to Obama) is insulting and revisionist crap.

In recent presidential elections, liberal moles working for Rolling Stone sat in RNC election offices as “volunteers” to do opposition research.
They consider the GOP a “threat” to America. They believe the War on Terror is a misdirected effort. “We” are to blame for Islamic supremacists engaging in terrorism against us.
Liberalism is a mental disorder.

This is the kind of snarky article you would expect from a leftist rag like
'Rolling Stone'. The author is clueless about the Tea Party movement and obviously just wants to use the Tea Party movement as a vehicle to write insults aimed at anyone to the right of Fidel Castro. I stopped reading about a third of the way through because I know the rants by heart i.e. 'Tea Party supporters are stupid, racist hypocrites that hate the poor and want to kill homosexuals', blah, blah, blah.
This kind of bilge is really just a lefty 'journalist' feeding leftist propaganda to the gullible about how terrible America is and how anyone who opposes the communist model of government is stupid/racist/homophobic, etc, etc. Same old garbage they've been peddling for decades only now the Tea Party is their new target. Too bad for the left that the Tea Party movement represents a majority of the American people, something they have yet to understand - and probably never will. Their loss.

It’s such a joke. Everyone with half a functioning cerebellum knows who the “professionals” are - tax-fattened union layabouts and their pinkie-ringed bosses, who organize rent-a-mobs with financial assistance from the left-wing Washington infrastructure (CAP, ACORN, Tides, the Apollo Alliance, and on and on and on...)

Yes. Rolling Stone is right. The Tea Party is made up entirely of dumb mouth-breathing racists. They are really no threat because they are all morons from trailer parks. Pay no heed to them.......... rest easy. You are safe and the Democrats will win BIG from the surge. No worries. You won’t even need to vote because the Tea Parties are so inconsequential.........

The great thing about the timing and duration of the TP movement as it has grown so far is that at this juncture, I honestly feel no insult when folks talk a line of complete nonsense crap about the TP. I feel no need to correct them via argument. I feel no need to defend the TP. I’m not going to be changing their opinion.
These stories about the TP and how they were created by corporations are of course massively beyond stupid. They’re so far beyond stupid they can’t even catch a bus back to stupid. But y’know what? Let ‘em think whatever the heck they want. If people think this kind of tall tale is convincing, they’re beyond any form of logical reasoning.
