Ugh. Sorry, the pic was not that big in preview. But that just shows how big of a turd Bono is.

By comparison we had a Catholic priest/missionary with Cross International provide the homily this past weekend at Mass.

Cross International is able to put over 98% of their charitiable donations into direct, boots-on-the-ground activities (food, shelter, clean water, sanitation), helping the poorest of the poor.

Of the remaining 2%, over 1% is spent in raising additional donations, leaving just a paltry 0.6% for administrative expenses.

And I’ll bet the egotistical fraud Bono, maintains the utterly ignorant, “hip”, secular view of the Catholic Church as “evil”.

Bono is basically a stream at the mouth consciousness with no conscience... like a Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton. He should be doing gangsta rap with Rev Wright and everybody will get on the soul train that’s gone souless and dance like the undead that they are. You can always see they coming for their designer shades... and that’s what they are in Hades.

I have been ragging on these nonprofit corporations here on FR for about 5 years now. There needs to be a substantial change in the way the nonprofit corporation laws work in America. They are being abused and the abuse is increasing exponentially. Way too many of these so-called nonprofits are nothing more than fronts to enrich their handlers, real businesses pretending to be charities who compete against real businesses or toys that push the political agendas of their handlers.

This particular nonprofit, ONE, has about as bad IRS 990 as I have ever seen. This, like other so-called nonprofits like the Carter Center, The Anti-Defamation League and Consumers Union feed nobody, clothe nobody and pay out way too much money to it’s executives. Here is the ONE IRS 990 from 2007. Makes me ill! This needs to change! This country can no longer afford tax exempt entities that are essentially businesses or profit centers for individuals that pay no taxes and gain subsidies of all kinds or outright grants from the federal government if the “nonprofit” agrees with the administration’s political views.

Well’ they have guys who stick out their tongues when pix are being taken. And guys who don’t. Looks pretty diverse to me. The only thing missing is someone putting moose horns on the person in front of him. That’s a scream.

This same theory is why government should remain as small as possible. For every hundred dollars taken in by the government ten comes out by way of “benefits”.

For Bono’s own picture of what African philanthopy looks like, see

http://www.louisvuittonjourneys.com/africa/#/en_US/the-pressad

I wish I could post the photograph here directly. It’s a vulgar, ostentatious (and presumably tax-deductible) display of extreme wealth.

Maybe the 1% actually accomplishes some good. And maybe Bono and Ali are actually sincere.

But, why would anybody in their right mind think that a full page spread (e.g., the photo is in today’s WSJ page A7) and a website that portrays Ali and Bono flying in private aircraft, strolling in a scenic African landscape, dressed in haute couture, and carrying designer accessories would inspire others to philanthropy?

Of course, the intent of the ad is to inspire consumption of haute couture. Any cognitive dissonance that the buyer may suffer over her feelings of self-indulgence is assuaged by the note that some of the profits and fees received by Ali and Bono will benefit an Uganda cotton initiative. Just how much of the profits and fees will benefit whom is left to the consumer’s imagination.

Clearly the Ruling Class and their acolytes think differently from normal human beings. So differently do they think from us that they don’t even understand the way normal human beings think. But we’re beginning to understand the way the Ruling Class thinks, and we don’t like it.

Just for grins, go to Google Images and search:
Bono Jesse Helms

(there are, of course some articles on the subject too, but the photos are priceless)

Jesse actually had his 15 minutes of “cool” over this.

From an article on Michelle Malkin’s site the money for this charity came from Bill and Melinda Gates.

Basically, Bill and Melinda created a foundation, got Bono to be the front man, hired a bunch of people and paid them around 8 million dollars to manage donations of a 120 thousand dollars.

Just so Freepers know, the ONE Foundation is a left-wing advocacy group with members of its board also belonging to the Clinton Global Initiative, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and George Soros’ Open Society Institute. Bobby Shriver is on the board as well.

http://www.one.org/us/about/oneboard.html

Also, Freepers should know that Christian music group Third Day is part of the ONE Campaign and had been since October 2009. This link is for their most recent ONE Campaign/Third Day venture.

And a list of celebrities that are part of this:

What else would you have expected from an organization run by a brain-dead Liberal Globalist?

Bono wants everyone to pay more taxes, while he skips out of Ireland and moves to another nation to avoid paying Irish taxes.

Just another Liberal Globalist hypocrite
