Castle would have lost to Coons? EVERY poll has him trouncing Coons, including Rasmussen who had him double digits ahead.
Coons, on the other hand, has an 11 point lead over O’Donnell per Rasmussen just 5 days ago.
I don’t like Castle, can’t stand him...but I like him a helluva a lot better than Coons. O’Donnell will get slaughtered and we’ve just helped another liberal win a seat.
And some here call that victory. Wow.
Let’s just start calling him, ‘Cloture’ Cornyn, he is handing the keys to Sleazy Harry
Yes Cornyn is a jackass. Gov Perry can replace him maybe. KBH will be replaced by RR Commissioner Elizabeth Ames Jones.
It is long past time to pull the plug on these creeps who deign to represent us.
You mistake what this war is all about.
First things first. Before we can re-take the country, we must first re-take the Republican party.
The House is won. From there, a GOP majority can block funding for any and every Obama program.
If we lose the Senate, but gain the party, 2012 will take care of the rest.
In that sense, Delaware was more about defeating Castle than nominating O'Donnell -- who may yet win the general.
And if you are wrong you will apologize, when?
You have NO idea how tired we Texans are of Cornyn and Hutchison. Perry too, for that matter. Can't wait until we get some new Tea Party blood elected in this state.
I’m happy to apologize after the election if I’m wrong.
If all of you are wrong, when do you apologize for the continued ruin these liberal Dems are putting on us....5 years from now....10 years from now....50 years from now?
Specter is our best chance!
Scuzzyfava is our best chance!
Crist is our best chance!
Murkowski is our best chance!
Castle is our best chance!
Chafee is our best chance!
McCain is our ONLY chance!
Cornyn is my Senator, and I think he votes reasonably well. I just sent the following email to him:
“I supported Mike Castle for the Republican nomination even though I thought (and still think) that he would be a terrible Senator, just as he has been a terrible Representative. Despite the fact that even moderately conservative Republicans should be reluctant to be in the same political party as Castle, I bought the argument made by you and others that Castle could more easily defeat Chris Coons and might help the Republicans take control of the Senate.
I will now whole-heartedly support Christine ODonnell in her race against Coons, and so should the NSRC. If Castle had defeated O’Donnell, you would have asked all of O’Donnell’s supporters to show party unity by supporting Castle. You and the NRSC should now do as you would have asked others to do and strongly support O’Donnell.
It has been improper for the NRSC to get involved in primary races. After all, you claim to head the National Republican Senatorial Committee, not the National Liberal Republican Senatorial Committee. Nevertheless, that involvement can be overlooked as having at least some tactical arguments in its favor. Not supporting Christine ODonnell in her race against Coons cannot be overlooked. I have only one measly vote, but it will never again be cast for you if the NRSC fails to support strongly Christine ODonnell in her race against Coons.
Whether I ever vote for you again or not, I appreciate your work in the Senate.”
If you are from Texas, please consider sending a letter or email to Cornyn asking that the NRSC support O’Donnell.
Wow . Amazing insight . The psychics are out tonight . Any stock tips ?
The problem is finding someone in TX who will even challenge Cornyn; people are so uninformed that they think they have to vote for Cornyn. John Tower was the precursor to Cornyn; the longer he stayed in Washington, the more establishment he became. Some think Tower would have lost a 1984 primary had he run again.
Freddie-
You just don’t get it do you? Keep electing RINOs and we’ll NEVER get rid of the bozos! It’s like killing snakes - one at a time...RINO, lib-dem, RINO, lib-dem...and after a while, no more snakes!
JC
A small cruel part of me wishes O’Donnell would win and some RINO would lose, thus costing the RNC the majority in the Senate.
Just another reason the NRSC will never see a dime of my money. Pluswhich, I make clear to everyone I have a conversation with about political contributions about how they are pure RINO pork fiends.
Fiorina beat DeVore, thanks to Palin. McCain beat Hayworth, thanks to Palin. Both were establishment victories.
Be careful what you wish for.
I’ve been very critical of McPalin, as I call her, for that very reason.
But I was talking about tonight’s GOP primaries.
Still, I think McCain would be an acceptable loss.
I will be voting for Fiorina in November, even though I supported DeVore for the nomination.
I agree, but I don’t think the majority of
Texans will vote for Williams, and we know why.
she has a better chance than Castle does!
