IRRC, this is up from 10 just days ago.

I can't see the GOP peaking here unless they do something stupid.

Many are going to come back from summer mode and add input to this data set, and I don't think it will favor the Dems...

Desperate times produce desperate measures. They will not go down without a (dirty) fight.

I'm telling you, times have changed, and the old school dirty politics is becoming less and less effective.

The Dems can fight dirty if they want to, but that will only increase the voter backlash against them.

Voters aren't going to suddenly forget how Congress and the current administration have openly defied and ignored the clear will of the people over and over again, since they've been in power.

Nor will they patiently listen to all of the Democrats' blathering attacks on the party out of power, when they know that the country has been driven off a cliff on the Dems' watch.

Sure it will, but it won't do any good. They can't concoct enough fraud to overcome this tsunami.

Before this is all over, some Republican is going to win big, even after having been given the Royal Treatment by the Dems and the media.

You beat me by a couple of minutes; I've asked the mods to delete my thread.

It looks like Rasmussen is taking Labor Day off -- no update on the Presidential Tracking Poll, which is generally posted at 9:30 EDT. So we may not see this 12-point spread "officially" until tomorrow. This is a jump from Rasmussen's last generic Congressional poll of a week ago, which showed a 6-point gap, 45-39.

I'm pretty sure the 12 points is the biggest gap on this question I've seen in a Rasmussen poll; it might be the biggest by any major polling outfit. Things are moving in the right direction, in both senses of the word.

A key point is Gallup's poll of "enthusiastic voters," in which Republicans lead the generic ballot by 50% - 25%!!! (And independents show a mere 28%)

Another Gallup poll shows "54% of Republicans, compared with 30% of Democrats, already saying they have given "quite a lot of" or "some" thought to the upcoming congressional elections. That 24-point gap on this key indicator of voter turnout is much larger than Gallup has found in the final days before past midterm elections."

I think this ties the biggest lead for the GOP, but this poll fits in with the trend we are seeing. Rasmussen had a 9 point lead for the GOP a couple of weeks ago, but then had a 6 point lead last week (an outlier?) In the meantime, Gallup shows a 10 point lead and Fox shows a 9 point lead for the GOP. And with the exception of Rasmussen, all of the other polls are still polls of registered voters. Likely voter polls traditionally favor the GOP by another 3-5 points.

Georgia's 5th Congressional seat has been long occupied by the here-to-fore incontestable John Lewis.

Fenn Little is the Republican contender for this seat on NOV. 2nd. http://www.fennforthe5th.org/

Fenn Little is a viable candidate. An experienced lawyer who has worked cases for the Alliance Defense Fund http://www.alliancedefensefund.org/ He has multiracial support.

It is time for effective and accountable government. Help retire Lewis and support FENN LITTLE!!

Folks, that is great news!!! But, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, do not let up for one second. We must totally destroy the “Anti-American, “Hate America” Democrat party at the polls on November 2, 2010, Election Day!!! We do not want just a massive defeat, we want, need and require a total all encompassing wipeout of the Democrat “Traitor” Party. They kissed “Down With America” POTUS Obama’s sad butt non-stop and now they have to pay the price for trying to destroy our great country. Get to the voting booth on Election Day, November 2, 2010 and wipe out the Democrat Party!!! REMEMBER NOVEMBER!!!

“I just hope this translates to people at the polls on November 2. We still have a ways to go before November.”

Short of a wag the door action, I don’t see the trend as Bamster’s friend. Even if Obama would pull such a stunt like hitting an aspirin factory in Somalia, most Americans would pause say how nice, go back to their daily struggles and hit the polls on November 2nd.

They are motivated beyond the norm now. The pain is throughout the land, the condescension from Obama and his singular belief in his left wing ideology is becoming clearer to more and more Americans.

There is going to be a blow and then the media will talk about the economy and how it cost Obama. Of course it isn’t his fault. What could he do....?

Take the House, neutralize the Senate and pray for our country. We need to stop the fraud and destruction of this nation fast.

It’s a LONG time between now and November and democrats DO NOT go down meekly, like spineless, limp-wristed, “bipartisanship seeking” republicans! Look for New Black Panthers at every meaningful polling place, the sudden appearance of millions of absentee ballots and union thugs keeping close watch on the voting habits of their more conservative colleagues. And don’t underestimate the thuggery of Hussein and his wholly owned congress and media.

The one thing more than any other which has caused this massive implosion on the Left is the free flow of information today versus only a short time ago.

The Left is no longer able to control the “message” and so they cannot control the people. Josef Goebbels was aware of this when he said:

He who controls the message controls the masses.”

and

“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will come to believe it”

The Left, when faced with the truth act like cockroaches when A light is shined on them, they run for cover. In this case the light is the WWW and cable news.

Most commentators add another 3% to the republicans so the real number is probably closer to 15%.

Larry Sabato is predicting 47 house seats and 8 senate seats. I think he is way, way low. 80-100 seats in the house. I have been saying this for months.

As reality closes in, the dems reaction the next two months will be priceless. Popcorn sales will go through the roof. They should head to higher ground right now, the tsunami is coming.

Right. And I'd add that the fraud machines are not finely tuned in the battleground House districts. Though it may come into play somewhat for some senate/gov seats. Really hope the GOP gets on this fraud issue.

New Black Panthers don’t hang in the vast majority of battleground house districts. They may play only at the margins in downtown philly and detroit.

Anyway, I never really understood who would be intimidated by a scary looking person standing outside a polling station with a billy club. I certainly don’t condone that illegal action and it ought to be punished severely. But it’s not like they walk into the booth with you. Does a voter show up at such a place ready to vote against the black dude, see Mr Scary outside, then turn around and go home?

Well, the "GOP" in this case is all of us. I'd encourage everyone to volunteer to work the polls this November - especially in the capacity of poll watcher, if that's needed in your district.

I worked the polls in 2008, and I'm ready to serve again in November.
