You’re welcome 4integrity. I’m more than happy to continue to post new photos of GWB and keep this thread going and well.
It is a portrait of a happy man. I am happy for him!...and his family!
Still miss him taking care of business, though. :)
You’re very welcome Duchess47. I share your sentiments too. I post these photos to remind everyone that class and dignity once resided in the White House long ago.
Pure Texan! :)
I just noticed that this thread has been around for just about 2 1/2 years. Seems like much longer......
President Bush with David Chang, CEO of Chang Holding at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Seoul
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jenna Bush did a wonderful segment this morning on the Today show to promote President Bushs 41 reissue of his book, All The Best. Several of the Bush family members - including George W. himself - read the excerpts of letters Bush 41 wrote to them throughout the years that are in the book. Please take the time to watch the video, it will remind you why Bush 41 still cherishes letter writing and its a dying breed in age of texting, emails and chatting on social media. You will love it, including the flash mob dance the students at Texas A&M did in honor of Bush 41 to welcome him back after he was recently released from the hospital. He looked very amused and happy!
Thanks for always keeping us up to date on the goings-on of OUR president! Great pictures!
Now I need to watch that video! :)
((Ping!))
That painting of the house with the wooden walkway looks like his parents’ home in Maine. :)
Great pictures and OUR president is showing a real talent and eye!
Some of those doggie pics are REALLY Nice. they have a sincerity about them that no amount of art education can produce.
(And I am an art teacher as well as a musician, so I am speaking from experience)
(((((Thank you Again)))))
Has anyone noticed that George P. Bush and his wife, Amanda, are also expecting a baby? Of course as usual, the anti-Bush contingent on Free Republic are being their usual charming selves! (gag) Now it’s the same tiresome, nauseating refrain: “No more Bushes, not true conservatives, stay out of the Bush’s, he let in Obama, blah blah blah, etc..”!
I not sure what the announcement of a baby has to do with the Bush’s not being conservative, or not voting for Bush’s ever again, etc..! It’s the same nauseating refrain, over and over and over on every Bush thread! I told one of them, why don’t you try something like: “Congratulations to them for a new baby!”, and leave it at that?
No one is forcing anyone to vote for any Bush; you’d think they’d see that! It mystifies me just why these same people are always against them? I don’t know what their problem is with any news of the Bush’s; they go off like that at any news of the family!
Wow! His scenery pictures are really good.
Glad you were able to indentify the house painting. I did not know that it was inspired by Pres. Bush’s home in Maine.
Thanks Luv!
Yes, the puppy paintings are sincere because GWB did those from straight from his heart and there’s a sense of poignancy to them since his dog Barney died recently.
So I think painting those dogs and cats has been therapeutic for him as it has helped him cope with his mourning over the loss of his beloved Barney.
You’re so welcome Kitty. Maybe President Bush will show more of his paintings within the next month when he has to do some media interviews to promote his soon-to-be open Presidential Library. We shall see!
We’ve been there. It’s beautiful! Of course we were waaaay across the bay from the house. LOL! Telescopic lenses helped.
The only reason I joined this site back in 2010 is because this used to be a very active thread with members continuously posting updates and photos about President Bush and I wanted to contribute my part to join in on the fun.
Free Republic has taken a nosedive these past few years as it's been highjacked by extremists who attack anyone such as Pres. Bush and others as RINOs, neocons, moderates or not living up to what they consider conservative by their standards.
It's no wonder some people I know that used post on this thread have left this site for good as the nuttiness has gotten out of control. So my advice is to ignore the crazy losers, don't waste your time fighting with people who are never going to change their minds and keep coming coming to this thread to check on some real positive news on President Bush and his family. :)
Barney was a sweetheart. I remember a time when W had to chase him to get him on Marine One, then came BACK down the stairs to SALUTE the Marine who was standing guard.
