A Month in the life of George W. Bush (News and many Photos) September 2005
georgewbush-whitehouse.archives.gov/news ^ | September 5, 2010

Posted on 09/05/2010 5:29:14 PM PDT by Kaslin

The month of September 2005 was a very busy month for President Bush after Katrina came on land at the Gulf coast and damaged the area. We see President Bush and First Lady Laura visiting New Orleans and other affected areas in Louisiana and Mississippi to comfort the victims of the hurricane and bring aid
The country lost Chief Justice William Renquist who passed away on September 3, 2005
President Bush nominated Judge Roberts to become the next Chief Supreme Court Justice. On September 29th Justice Roberts was sworn in as the 20th? Supreme Court Chief Justice.
President Bush remembered 9/11 heroes at a Medal of Valor ceremony. He also met with several foreign leaders and addressed the Useless Nations
For the quote of the month I have chosen President Bush’s Remarks which he gave at the National Day of Prayer and Remembrance Service on September 16, 2005

You’re very welcome, glad you like the photos. And thanks for your inside knowledge of Palo Duro Canyon Park. Sounds like your familiar with it, that’s great!

Perfect as always, Kaslin. The photos speak for themselves. You see true, genuine compassion and care President Bush has for these brave heroes. It is obvious that he does this straight from his heart, not from a big ego or doing it to get media attention and say, "look at me!"

His focus was to put a spotlight on the wounded warriors who can make remarkable strides after recovering from their injuries. Mountain biking is just one of many activites they seem capable of doing. I'm just in awe of their peserverance and toughness.

Thanks once again for posting the photos in the past two days. It's been a lot of fun seeing them!

You are very welcome and don't they?

It is truly amazing what they achieve, but with President Bush's love for them and his encouragement they can do it.

This morning on the House call segment on Fox News HQ Dr Siegel was reporting on one of the soldiers. He said the soldier was so down that he wanted to commit suicide, but was talked into the bike ride. He only has one leg and because his leg was amputated so high he could not use his prosthesis for the ride, but he made it.

President Bush always has such looks of admiration for folks in our military! It’s never about HIM, only THEM.
