I do not believe that there is much similarity between the monarchy of Elizabeth I and Elizabeth II. The current monarchy is little more than a tourist attraction, and it has no power. I am not certain Elizabeth I was concerned more about God than about keeping her throne. She wimped out when it came to theological issues and created the pathetic Anglican Church, which is all pomp and little substance. People value the reign of monarchs differently. For instance, Herod the Great was great because of his huge building programs, but he did it at the expense of his people. Queen Elizabeth I ruled England at the right time in history. She will receive much credit for things for which she had little or no influence. Personally, I like King Henry V, at least he was willing to put his life on the line. The bottom line is that we do not need monarchs. The bad outweighs the good.

His purpose is to give ugly people hope. Same with Camilla.
