Yes he did... but they never stopped attacking him no matter how badly he thrashed them... and Reagan never quit battling them either. One of my favorites... cornered coming out of the Whitehouse, putrid marxist anti-American sam donaldson asked Reagan, “Don't you feel some responsibility for the homeless in America today”?

One of reagan’s greatest achievements was he made it cool to be a republican and very un-cool to be a democrat(I don’t get this with palin). He was the republicans’ antidote to nixon.
