Watch out Sarah Palin, Newt Gingrich is 'serious' about running for president in 2012
NY Daily News ^ | 7/12/10 | Joe Tacopino

Move over Sarah Palin, Newt is "serious."

Newt Gingrich said he is considering a run for president in 2012 and will make his final decision early next year.

"I've never been this serious," Gingrich told the AP.

The former House speaker said he will be helping fellow Republicans get reelected in the midterms, but will decide in February or March whether to seek the nomination.

Credited with the Republican takeover of the House during Bill Clinton’s presidency in 1994, Gingrich even fronted the movement to impeach the President during the Monica Lewinsky scandal.

Newt’s a conservative? I like Sarah but I wish she would stay under the radar a little more. Definitely stay off of Hannity.

“Is the threat of Newt running for President as serious as the threat posed by Global Warming?”

.
It’s as serious as the the threat posed by the HOAX of Global Warming.

And both are capable of wiping freedom off the map.

Democrats will never hold their leaders to any kind of moral standards because the entire lib-dem ethos is “if it feels good, do it!!” and because ideological purity trumps personal behavior in all cases. Since we never vote for them anyhow, they could care less if we think they are sleazebags.

Our leaders are required to reflect our values.

Sarah ignites the base, but I think the state-run media’s jihad against her has cemented too negative an image of her in voters’ minds. As for Newt, he’s the smartest of the bunch and would destroy 0bama in a debate, but he has way, way too much baggage to compete.

As for Romney, Huckabee and Pawlenty... if one of them emerges as the best the GOP has, count on four more years of 0bama. The hill in 2012 is steep enough as it is. If it’s one of these three going up against 0bama, they won’t have a prayer.

He could not come up with one!

WEAK men HATE strong woman. They will never admit to that, of course, so they stay in their weakness and rut.

Imagine living with a strong woman - there is no doubt Todd is his own man and threatened by no one.

Yeppers, Newt is fair game for RINO hunters.

Based on his past performances (and lack thereof) one might suspect that he is a Newturd politician....lacking the wherewithal when and where it counts. He can sell books and does a fine job whistling to the cameras, but it is doubtful he will ever produce anything of lasting substance.

Didn’t the media get chills in their collective legs when Obama spoke? Even the politically clueless morons are starting to make fun of the media now that the pixie dust the media scattered about Obama is blowing away . . . along with the politically clueless moron’s jobs. I think enough have come to their senses that Republicans win in 2012 with whoever they nominate. It’s hard to get a worse candidate than Obama looks now. The question is who do WE want?

Well I'm not here to defend Newt. However I would not exactly call "Please! How savvy is he if we can all see through him?" a knock down. In fact since you think it's a knock down it means either you're drunk or stupid...which is it?

Urban dictionary refudiate: combination of “refuse” and “repudiate” to make clear you mean “refuse” as in to refuse to accept; especially : to reject as unauthorized or as having no binding force : to reject as untrue or unjust . With a couple of exceptions — Mr. Bellingham among them — interviewing pot sellers is unlike interviewing anyone else in business. Simple yes-or-no questions yield 10-minute soliloquies. Words are coined on the spot, like “refudiate”...

Thank you.

Although I do not use the word myself, I have heard refudiate used often enough in the past to know what it meant and had no problem with its use in this context.

If the dems try to make hay about this, tell them to go see a corpseman.

Whatever else some might think about Newt he is politically savvy.
LOL! You forgot the < /sarcasm > tag.

If he's so "politically savvy" why did he have to step down as speaker? His "political savvy" started the loss of seats in Congress because he was banking on history (party in power bullshit)rather than make a real effort to gain more seats...and it didn't work.

The only reason anyone ever hears anything he says is because of the dimwit Hannity...(and if hannity's not careful he's going to poke his eye out with that pen that looks like it's permanently attached between his fingers).

WOW! She must have spoiled your night. On the other hand, perhaps it’s your hearing? Or is that under the ‘never’ column?

No, I hit rewind and watched it again just to make sure I'd heard what I thought I heard. Hannity just replayed here and I just heard it for the third time. For whoever said that there were over 700 instances of that word on Google search - that's true, but it's telling that my post on this forum in this thread is on the FIRST page of the rankings already.

I love the woman - I really do. I saw her twice in person in 2008 (some on this board might remember some fabulous pictures I took and posted of my trips to see her in Ocala and Kissimmee, FL). I gladly voted for her and some old guy whose name it wasn't worthwhile to learn. She's got my wholehearted support if she runs in 2012. I will crawl across broken glass to see her elected.
