The entire classification scheme is established by Executive Order, so Obama could dismantle the entire system if he so desired.
And the authority for classification and declassification are delegated by the President through those Executive Orders, the President being the final appellate authority of those decisions.
Therefore, Obama can pretty much declassify anything he wants, so long as doing so does not violate other laws or treaties.
Maybe they’re afraid for their and their families’ lives—with reason?

He is far LESS competent and far MORE stupid than the media would have us believe but that is NOT the problem. The problem is that he never intended to do anything but harm to this country. He is succeeding hugely at what he was PUT into office to accomplish which is to fast track the complete destruction of what little remains of America.
Not until and unless conservatives take over the house and senate both which means late January at the earliest and they will have to have gonads the size of grapefruit.
