I've personally observed Metro “closing” a train due to a mechanical problem and then some Metro underachiever, affirmative-action-can't-read-mouth-breather (all Metro employees), walk quickly through the cars and then drive the train away. . .and as about the 3rd car went by, we on the platform saw some poor woman pounding on the door with a terrified look on her face. I can only think she was carted off to the Metro yard. And that “call” button to the driver that is in every car, I've seen people push that button to call for help (medical one time, police the other), and the driver NEVER answered.. . .too busy listening to his i-Pod, probably.
