Unfortunately, I never was able to see Dio, but his influence on music was huge. One item not mentioned was his work for charity, specifically the “Hear n Aid” project in the mid-80s. He got together several rock performers to make a benefit for Ethiopia (like US for Africa). The song, “Stars”, is great.
