ESPN: The Phoenix Suns will wear "Los Suns" on their jerseys in Game 2 of the Western Conference semifinals on Wednesday night, owner Robert Sarver said, "to honor our Latino community and the diversity of our league, the state of Arizona, and our nation."

"It really damages our civil liberties, I think that it opens the potential for racial profiling [and] racism," Suns guard Steve Nash said.

With all this bs about Arizona’s law can you imagine what would happen if we did have a president with a set and he closed the damn border?

During the news break on the radio here in the Phx metro area, they also played a comment from the Spurs coach that 1070 was a knee jerk reaction just like the Patriot Act after 9/11. I wish these liberals would get out of sports. It would seem that sports go against their ideology of everyone being equal. I’m am so pissed right now. I have been a Suns fan longer than these idiots have been in the leauge.

This is how they show their gratitude to 70% of their fans?

I’ve been a Suns fan since they beat my Lakers the year before they got Barkley.

They are dead to me now.

Forget it. Popavitch is on board and didn't order the team's spanish jerseys in time for this train wreck. Check out the story on Yahoo.

The Spurs tried to get their “Los Spurs” jerseys in time for the game, but were unable to get them shipped in time. There are no winners in this one.

70% is the OPERATIVE NUMBER HERE!

IF THESE LIBERAL SLAVEMASTERS DON’T GIVE A FLYING TORTILLA ABOUT WHAT 70% OF THE LEGAL AMERICANS THINK, THEN THEY SHOULD MOVE THEIR LEAGUE SOUTH OF THE BORDER!

DAVID STERN, CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW?

Actually, no go Spurs:

The San Antonio Spurs wanted to be a part of the Suns’ statement Wednesday but could not get the “Los Spurs” jerseys to do it in time.

“It’s a wonderful idea because it kind of shows what we all should be about,” Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said. “Sure, there needs to be a lot of work done, obviously. A lot of administrations have done nothing about the immigration deal and now everybody’s paying the price, especially a lot of people in Arizona. That’s a bad thing but the reaction is important, too. This reaction, I agree with Mr. Sarver, is inappropriate. It’s kind of like 9-11 comes and all of a sudden there’s a Patriot Act, just a knee-jerk sort of thing and it changes our country, what we stand for. This law smacks of that to some degree. So I think what he’s doing … is very wise and very correct.”

Good for you. Born and bred in Battleford, SK originally then moved to BC when 12. I still miss heading to tabor lake and fish for trout with my uncles.
