Palin has already done more with her life than Oprah has (also IMO).

I'm sorry, but that's an insane comment even if you try qualifying it as an opinion. It only serves to negate everything you say after.

I have so much cooking and gift wrapping to do tomorrow, but I will make it a point to get these calls in. Thank you for posting these numbers. Please continue to post them through tomorrow if you would. (I called Nelson’s office a few hours ago and his voice mail was full. Hard to believe. /sarc)

We are fortunate to have Sarah as our leader. Without her,
our situation would be so bleak indeed.

True, but I would love to see Sarah give a speech or just read this FB note to the cameras. Sarah hits all the major points in one note.

Thank you Sarah. Our Lady Liberty.

“She has been savaged in the press over the “death panel” nomenclature and she shoves it right back in their face. Fearless.”

Absolutely. As soon as I heard her use the term, “death panels”, I thought it was brilliant, and exactly correct. The fact the leftists are screaming just confirms she’s right.

Of course government run healthcare will ration services. When I’m 90, and I need a valve replacement, I’ll have to fill out paperwork explaining why I should get it. The Commie bureaucrats in charge will scrutinize my health history, and any other factors they deem appropriate (like whether I’ve paid my taxes on time, contributed to any conservative candidates, etc.) “Good” candidates will go to the front of the line. Unless I can bribe someone, I’ll be in the back. There will be no private doctors I can pay for my valve replacement, plus I’m sure it will be illegal to do that, anyway.

I figure Obamacare will probably cost me 10 years of my life.

Sarah Palin was brought up by parents who instilled in her a work ethic that has helped to shape her into the hard working, common sense type woman that she is.

From what I’ve read in her book, it seems that she is a good Christian who is well grounded and tries to teach that to her children the same values she learned from her folks. Her marriage also seems to be solid, and she looks to have a firm grasp of what it takes to balance her job, marriage and family. Add to that the fact that she isn’t caught up in all the trappings that most politicians seem to be enamoured with.

Like I said, it’s just my opinion, but there’s more to life than having lots of money and popularity. And it appears to me that even with all the crap that the media and her enemies have put Palin through, she comes through it by putting her faith in God, and continuing to live her life as a down-to-earth conservative Christian wife and mother.

But if you think that’s insane, then I guess I’ll just have to learn to live with your low opinion of me.

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to you too.

But my insane thing still stands. Oprah Winfrey grew up poor and disadvantaged and went on to basically change the world. NOW, you may not like the changes, but that doesn’t mean she hasn’t accomplished it. Sometimes you gain money and popularity by doing good things. Please don’t forget that.

Dear Governor Perry,

On March 30, 2009 the Texas House of Representatives passed HCR 50 affirming that the State of Texas claims sovereignty under the Tenth Amendment.

You have publicly supported this bill, and stated that attorney generals from all over the union could be getting ready to sue the US Government.

We are asking you to take the lead.

We are asking you to order the Texas Attorney General to publicly begin working on a law suit under Article IV, Ninth, and Tenth Amendment of the Constitution.

We are asking you to protect the citizens of Texas that we will not stand for government controlled healthcare in our state.

Under your leadership we can effectively kill the proposal of this administration and allow Texas to be a state free from socialism and collectivism.

Be the voice of reason in the national debate and allow Texans the ability to solve the problems of our state.

Thank you,

Facts about the 10th Amendment:

The Tenth Amendment (Amendment X) of the United States Constitution, which is part of the Bill of Rights, was ratified on December 15, 1791. The Tenth Amendment restates the Constitution’s principle of Federalism by providing that powers not granted to the national government nor prohibited to the states are reserved to the states or the people.

HCR 50 HAS PASSED THE HOUSE 99-36!
Affirming that the State of Texas claims sovereignty under the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States over all powers not otherwise enumerated and granted to the federal government by the U.S. Constitution, serving notice to the federal government to cease and desist certain mandates, and providing that certain federal legislation be prohibited or repealed.

REMEMBER THIS,TEXANS:

Feds Have Built Only 32 Miles of 700 Mile Double-Border Fence Originally Mandated by Congress

“One reason DHS has been able to do this is an amendment that Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison (R.-Texas) slipped into an omnibus appropriations bill that Congress passed on December 18, 2007. Hutchison’s amendment put a loophole in the fence law that allowed the secretary of Homeland Security not to build the fence Congress had mandated the year before.”

I'm so sick of people thinking you have to go to an Ivy to qualify to run this country or have seriously good ideas - of course everyone who goes to the Ivy school likes to perpetuate this fallacy but it isn't true.

Reagan didn't go to an Ivy and neither did George Washington or Abraham Lincoln as well as lots of others. I think God chooses leaders and Sarah seems to be chosen.

My son works with Harvard grads...he says they're rude and think they're God - and aren't smarter than anyone else even though they like to think so. This is what the media kisses up to - arrogant a holes.

I bet even zero is wondering why his fabulous ideas (LOL) aren't working - after all, he was supposed to be this great intellect from Harvard and this great Solomon who could see all sides of an issue due to his international un-American childhood and his mixed race. All this was based on a combination of academic theory, wishful thinking by the masses, delusion, and cold hearted greed by people such as Soros, SEIU and ACORN types.

The world of illusion isn't one in which Sarah lives. And neither do I.

Hopefully, some day, Dr. King’s words will be fulfilled.

That some day a man will “not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character”.

Or woman! ;^)

Change the world? Other than getting a lot of people to watch her show and making a lot of money, what are the great changes she’d accomplished? ???????

Barbara Stanwyck was also the highest paid woman in the country at one point. Wonderful actress, but did she “change the world”?

In 1950 Einstein wrote his Unified Field Theory when he was 71 years old. Of course, the significance of this theory is one that the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) was built for its study. On April 16th 1955 Einstein checked into Princeton Hospital complaining of chest pains. He died of heart failure early the next morning of a burst aortic aneurysm. Perhaps, with the medical advances today he would have been saved. Maybe there would have been enough warning to correct his heart problems long before they became dangerous. He would have lived to work out more details of his theory.

If Einstein were under Obamacare, at age 60 and found with a critical heart problem, he would have been told he was on the wrong side of the age benefit curve. He would have been told to go back to his study and keep taking his pills. And if he was 71 years old and walked into a hospital with chest pains he would have been stuck in a waiting room with his life ticking away. Under Obamacare at 71 years old, instead of getting the benefit of the latest in medical care, he would have got no better care if he was living in 1955: a hospital bed, a pill and good night's sleep. . .

A really good bill would pass on its merits. A majority would vote for it without bribes. That really says all there is to say about this bill.

Precisely!
