The code that was written by hundreds over a period of years could be reverse-engineered by hundreds over a period of years as well. Besides, there are reverse-e tools available that would speed the process immensely.
The code flying on commercial aircraft has provisions for weapons systems monitoring, ECM, and Stores Management????? What airline is flying THAT code? Air America?
I didn't say it would be a cakewalk. I said it could be done easily enough. I imagine the Mars Lander code could be reversed easily enough, if anyone had a pressing need to do so.
