Orthodox and Hasidic are not synonymous. The Hasidic observe many private customs that other Orthodox do not. Then there are the Sephardic (Spanish) Jews who generally are a kind of liberal Orthodox. All take the scriptures seriously when it says that homosexuality (Jewish or gentile) is bad news.

I thought that I was clear in separating Hasidic Jews from Orthodox Jews? I am not familiar with Sephardic Jewish beliefs. There are probably other sects within Judaism with which I am unfamiliar. In America the Conservative Jews and Reformed Jews are the most liberal sects. I would guess that most members of these two group would be pro-homosexual marriage.
