I though Americans do not bow to members of royalty?
The King of Saudi Arabia, and now the Japanese Emperor? And as the LA Times points out …. there was no reciprocal bow from the Emperor.
Contrary to some claims, the video shows no reciprocal bow by the emperor, who traditionally bows to no one. And we’ve added a file photo from 2007 of Vice President Dick Cheney greeting the Japanese Emperor in the same door way in a different fashion.
And all the Queen got was an ill advised pat on the back. I guess when it comes to Royal respect, it depends on how much control you have over American purse strings. You can play along with me. I counted 6 bows, but in truth I lost track.

The Dear Leader simply has no idea that the US is a nation among nations. You could even say he DOES believe in a KIND of American exceptionalism, the kind that holds us worse than every other nation on earth.
When he bows to kings and emperors, it would appear that, in him, all of us are made to bow or to seem as if we were bowing. And, indeed, he thinks we SHOULD bow, in apology.
But what he really shows is that he has no idea of what leadership is and does not consider himself an American. Whatever the birth certificate case may be, he is not an American in his heart. He is, almost literally, anything but.

Perhaps the bows to Japan and the Saudis are in proportion to the amount of T Bills he needs to sell. Maybe we will see some big deferential sign to the Chinese. Genuflection, a curtsy, or even a boot-licking might be in order. He already has dissed the Dali Llama and essentially approved the annexation of Taiwan.
Seriously, I hope that the Chicoms tell Obama that if he passes Obamacare or enacts energy taxes, the Chicoms will dump even more of their dollars and stop buying US debt.

Somehow I doubt it. Hasn't anyone in the White House staff or a previous Administration (Clinton, Bush, even Carter) informed President Obama about the appropriate way to greet emperors and principalities of foreign states? Has he not listened? Does he not understand? He shouldn't be that clueless! I don't want any more of these unnecessary greetings so inconsistent with traditional American diplomatic protocol. Or does our President envy the lifetime tenure in office of a hereditary ruler? Our President still leads the free world and therefore must bow to no potentate of this earth--friend, enemy, emperor, prince, prime minister, dictator, president, or oppressor.
The queen remark was in reference to the Queen of England and how the First Lady gave her a pat on the back instead of a bow (nor did Obama bow to her).
Trust me when I say this is the least American president that has ever been elected - imo - it's only the color of his skin! The sad part is he is not from American slavery. His "white" family side are radical liberals.
