Lou Dobbs expected to resign from CNN tonight, multiple sources say. If true, we await his explanation. He was one of net's first employees.

Doubt he was fired as he asked to be released from his contract. If he met with Ailes back in September, he was getting ansy and rather than wait until his contract expired, he simply quit now!

If you read any of the Free Trade deals passed over the past two decades....it is evident that the Big Government types, and the real Statists, are those who support Free Trade.

It took a few shots fired at him to decide it wasn’t worth remaining a target so stepping down is the best outcome for him. He should retire IMO.

Dobbs was the closest thing to a voice of reason on that horrid network so the lefties are probably thrilled he's gone and will believe that now CNN won't be "biased" any more (ROFL!) CNN's ratings will now tank even further, and that's just fine with me. No great loss...

My take is he was told he could not take certain positions so he took a hike. He really doesn't need them.

He quit Fox to go to CNN. Never understood why he did it. But the up side to that is that Cavuto was able to come out from under his shadow.

Dobbs was the ONLY program I watched on CNN. Can’t stand Shep. I loved how Dobbs would call out certain journalists when they exhibited their own bias. It’s their loss. If he goes to Fox, that would be great. I can do without Shep or Huckabee.

Same here. Shep forever tainted me a few years back when he slipped and said this (I just can't get that one out of my mind (ROFL!)). And the recent Birther comments of his! That broke the camel's back.
And Gomer "Shazam!" Huckabee can take his bass guitar and go on tour somewhere for all I care. I'd take Dobbs on Fox any day!

Ditto. I hope these rumors turn out to be a trade. CNN gets Shepard Smith, Geraldo, and O’Reilly. Fox gets Dobbs and three more blondes.
