You´re denying the fact that Israel and Germany have a deep friendship since 1949, and that Germany is Israel´s second best ally, right behind the US. Military and armament support have been just one point, mutual visits from the head-of-state-level down to students exchanges another.

The question is why? It is out of guilt, or is it because they truly support the Jews? I can understand why the United States supports Israel. The Jews in America donate large amounts of money to politicians, and the Jews have a disproportionate influence in banking, media, and politics. That's not being ant-semitic, but that's just the truth. Also, there is a significant number of Evangelicals that support Israel for religious reasons.
I fail to see how support of Israel is in Germany's best interest? Why, for instance, would Germany be more supportive of Israel than France, Belgium, Holland, or Spain?
If Germany really wanted to support Israel, it would have been more involved in Iraq, and it wouldn't be supporting Israel's enemies. Talk is cheap. It takes no guts to walkout at the UN, or to act offended. Obama and the libs love to apologize.
Since you seem to know about Germany's support of Israel more than I, maybe you can tell me what Germany has actually done for Israel other than talk? I'm willing to change my views.
