RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) - A father, his two sons and four other North Carolina men are accused of military-style training at home and plotting "violent jihad" through a series of terror attacks abroad, federal authorities said Monday.
Officials said the group was led by Daniel Patrick Boyd, a married 39-year-old who lived in an unassuming lakeside home in a rural area south of Raleigh, where he and his family walked their dog and operated a drywall business. But two decades ago, Boyd, who is a U.S. citizen, trained in terrorist camps in Pakistan and Afghanistan and fought against the Soviets for three years before returning to the United States.
An indictment released Monday does not detail any specific terrorist plans or targets overseas, although it claims some of the defendants traveled to Israel in 2007 with the intent of waging "violent jihad" and returned home without success.

The treason you mean may be committed only with respect to a country. But if you live in One World Without Borders, as does the Left, there is no treason: you cannot commit treason with respect to the entire mankind. If your are a World, rather than American, citizen, you tolerate domestic jihadists, illegal immigrants, etc.
I’m about 10-12 miles away from Willow Springs.
My ex used to call me paranoid. In the first few years after 9-11 I kept a carbine in my truck in addition to my carry handgun.
In my morning drive I passed a propane facility, a gas tank farm, an asphalt facility and several reservoirs.
I think it’s time I put the carbine back in the vehicle.
FWIW, it’s a 9mm keltec subgun that takes Glock mags. The whole affair folds up in a briefcase.
Carrboro and Chapel Hill are very liberal. The areas north/northwest of Raleigh seem to be more liberal, but the suburbs south of Raleigh are more conservative. We live 15 miles southeast of Raleigh, and our area is conservative (except for all of the liberal yankees moving in). We are right next to Willow Springs.
We are being invaded here in Ga, not only by mexicans, but by left wing yankees; they are changing the political picture down here.
The bast*rds sell their over priced, old, and small homes, and move down here to buy newer, bigger homes, looking down on us southerners. They also bring their marxist ideas, to destroy us, just like they have destroyed their own states.
We have a huge number of people moving down here from Michigan(union thieves).

I just heard a report on this and nothing was said about their background except that they had traveled to various countries.
It appears to be a father and sons...one (father I believe) was trained and fought in Afghanistan, but I believe it was as a terrorist. I read another thread and some comments, but this is EAST NC where they are from, and not the WCU professor someone was asking about in WEST NC
