Sorry bud, but political life is what it is. If you decide to enter then you need to stand by your commitments.

I can’t back someone who’s going to cut and run when the going gets tough. If she thinks being governor is tough, she would have one hell of a rude awakening living in the White House.

If she never plans on running for president, she may have made the right decision. If she does, I won’t be supporting her. Not after this...

I’ve spent too many years in my life wishing a candidate would live up to my expectations, only to have them fail that. I just don’t live in the dream world any longer.

I’m just not going to hope beyond hope that Sarah will work things out.

You missed the point of her speech. Alaskan taxpayers were being hurt by the frivolous ethic charges against her. Every move she would make exploring running for president would lead to more and more such frivolous charges.

So her choice was to run the Alaskan government and not run for president. Turn over running the Alaskan government to her Lt Governor and save Alaskan tax payers money, if she wants to run for president. There will be no such issue of running for another position when she is president.

Oh come on....this went way past ordinary rough and tumble of politics. The viciousness against Sarah and her family were extraordinary because...after they saw her nomination speech the word went out...”She Must Be Destroyed”.... and nothing was out of bounds, not even Trig or the rest of her kids. And the attitude from the rats has been sorta like the mafia just before they kill someone....nothing personal, it's just business.

Bastards. This is what's left to run our country.

Did you listen to her remarks? Her points were remarkabky cogent. Her decision to allow her Lt. Gov to go ahead and take over the reins so THE PEOPLE OF ALASKA can have an effective government is spot on. Everything in the last six months that has gone on in Alaska has been detrimental to the state and the people. SHe managed to get through the negotiations for a new gas agreement but the dems in the legislature were beginning toa ct like the ones in DC say no say no say no. Wear everyone out and screw the people. She wants the best for her home state. Why can’t people just accept her judgement for what is best. You don’t live there. You don’t know the local politics ( I have friends and family there so I get an ear full).

All I want for the Palins is for them to do what they feel is best. I can live with whatever that looks like. I wish them the best no matter what
