"To the people of Iran: You are rich in culture and talent. You have a right to live under a government that listens to your wishes, respects your talents, and allows you to build better lives for your families. Unfortunately, your government denies you these opportunities, and threatens the peace and stability of your neighbors. So we call on the regime in Tehran to heed your will, and to make itself accountable to you. The day will come when the people of Iran have a government that embraces liberty and justice, and Iran joins the community of free nations. And when that good day comes, you will have no better friend than the United States of America." - President George W. Bush, January 13, 2008.

Spoken as an American President should — but unfortunately America doesn't really have a President anymore.

Thanks for posting. I think President Bush had the most difficult task since WWII...He never faltered. He was a good “Father of our Country”.

Ahh, to has a President again.

For many, I'm sure Dubya' (a true American with sovereign conviction) is sorely missed.

This should have been the US response from day one (reinforcement of what was previously said). Instead, Republicans and the American public have basically had to stick their hands through the president’s you know what and move his lips for him.

Our foreign policy is a laughing stock.

Freedom & Democracy are contagious! Seems Iranians have been paying close attention to events in Iraq.

Is the Bush foreign policy of spreading Freedom & Democracy in the middle east seeping into Iran now?

Big Media will not give him his due, but history will.

The jerk has delusions of saving the world with his rhetoric that convinces nutjob to disarm. And the world is supposed to twiddle it’s thumbs waiting for zero’s mouth to save us all.

I think if he had his way....he’d end up “ruling” us just like the Mullas rule Iran.

I liked it better when the adults were in charge. Yes. President George W. Bush.

This phony, balony, plastic banana, goodtime rock 'n' roller we have now is not a President. He is not a world leader. He's just an unemployable, two-bit community organizer. He should have stuck to visiting graveyards to register 'RAT voters. He is now in WAY over his head. This job is way above his pay grade and intellectual abilities.

When I look at what is going on right now in Iran, I do believe that it's time for the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA to get up off of his ice cream loving ass and get "some skin in the game." If he doesn't, America is going to pay the price down the road.

"Eventually, the call of freedom comes to every mind and every soul. We do not accept the existence of permanent tyranny because we do not accept the possibility of permanent slavery.

Liberty will come to those who love it. All who live in tyranny and hopelessness can know: the United States will not ignore your oppression, or excuse your oppressors. When you stand for your liberty, we will stand with you."- President George W. Bush, 1/20/2005

Yep, that's what an inbred understanding and conviction for truth and justice creates.
