You will NEVER win over Conservatives.. which is a PITY.. I’d vote Libertarian in a Hearbeat .. if not for these 5 things.

Including many liberals I know (granted some will worship Obama till the end of time, but not all). It was funny to see them agree with a Republican on many issues and respect one (probably the first time in their lives), and then realize they were supporting a Republican (the horror!) and be so confused. I really think the GOP missed a big opportunity to convert some Obamabots into (at the very least) moderates or libertarians. I’m not saying those 2 are the same, but some invariably would have become political centrists while others would have become libertarians, and that is much more beneficial to the GOP than a bunch Obama drones. Limited government is a powerful message.

Right about a free economy. Wrong about blaming America for 9/11 and the reasons for the vitriol of America’s enemies. Questionable about his Libertarian views on limited government (seems like they want NO government) and wholehearted support of the Constitution.

Islamofascists- Perhaps we should deal with the wanna-be fascists within our own government first and foremost.
DRUG Legalization- Tougher issue for sure but, one thing is for sure, the war on some drugs is an expensive and total failure.
WAR/National Security- Ron Paul joined the air force after finishing medical school. He didn’t have to do that. I would trust Ron Paul to protect this country from any true threat. I would also trust him not to create new threats to our country.
Gay Marriage- What does this have to do with anything? The federal gov. has no authority over this issue.
Abortion- Ron Paul is as anti-abortion as they come.
The TEA parties are a solid start. But we, the people, have to follow up by having “Push Back Until” events later this year, early next year, and for as long as we have to: http://pushbackuntil.com.
It will not be easy, but how interested are we in saving our country from an irresponsible Congress? If we, the people, do nothing, our country is finished.

Ron Paul misses in important areas. I think Alan Keyes may be the man.

However, He’d better get the rest of his Party in line, as every LIbertarian I’ve spoken to, argued with, debated ... ALL took the “NOW GANG’s” Pro choice stance.
Ron Paul…. Wrong about this nation’s founding and wrong about National Security.
So, does that mean you prefer the 0bama 0ne, who is not only wrong about terrorism (oopppsss.. can't use that term any more in his administration) and the War on Terror (ooopppsss... I mean contingency action), and who is absolutely wrong about 100% of EVERYTHING?
And Juan McCain was semi-right on terrorism (though he wouldn't use such strong words as islamofacist), but he was not much better than 0bama on fiscal matters - stooping finally to actually sound more like 0bama in his campaign promises. In reality, McCain was an 0bama-light (He rightfully deserves the title of RINO).

And why Paul is in the wrong political party.
Also, Ron Paul’s followers seem like they’re part of something that looks cult-like: unable or unwilling to see this guy as a man with strengths and weaknesses, good points and bad points. Comes across that they treat him like the oracles of God or something (a bit like the Obama-craze but at the other end of the political spectrum).

Govt has been involved in Marriage since there has been a country, and Worse since the IRS, not using my tax money or my Insurance premiums to pay for any of that
