DEMS CALL POLITICAL OPPONENTS THREAT TO SECURITY
boblonsberry.com ^ | 04/15/09 | Bob Lonsberry

Posted on 04/15/2009 5:53:25 AM PDT by shortstop

I am a rightwing extremist.

At least that’s what the new administration would call me.

In a sweeping nine-page document sent to state and local law-enforcement agencies last week, the federal government sounded the alarm against “rightwing extremists,” and called on law enforcement to join it in identifying and investigating people who fit a certain profile.

Like veterans.

And gun owners.

And people who believe in the Tenth Amendment.

In something from the Stalin side of Orwell, the new Democrat regime in Washington has identified those who disagree with it as potential threats to the state.

Put another way: The purge has begun.

Here are the specifics. On April 7, the Department of Homeland Security Office of Intelligence and Analysis sent out an alert to American law enforcement. It identified “rightwing extremists” as a danger.

It then defined “rightwing extremists.”

They were people for whom one issue was very important – like opposing abortion, or opposing illegal immigration. It was also people who felt that the federal government was too powerful and that states’ rights should be respected.

Gun owners also came under fire.

“A correlation may exist between the potential passage of gun control legislation,” Homeland Security warned, “and increased hoarding of ammunition, weapons stockpiling, and paramilitary training activities among rightwing extremists.”

So, if you believe that the Democrats in Washington may pass laws limiting the availability of guns or ammunition, and you consequently buy guns or ammunition before they make it illegal to do so, you are a “rightwing extremist.”

Or my neighbor.

Or me.

Because I find that the Democrats’ profile of a potential threat to national security sounds amazingly like a Republican. And this bulletin sounds amazingly like the Democrats using the power of law enforcement to attack and suppress their political opponents.

The same party that complained when Homeland Security tapped the phone calls of foreign Muslim terrorists is now using Homeland Security to defame and investigate conservative American Republicans.

I can’t decide if that is more reminsicent of the Gestapo or the KGB. All I know is that it isn’t American.

Especially since it targets veterans.

Another personality type the brown shirts see as potential “rightwing extremists” – combat veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan.

That’s right. The men and women who volunteered to defend our country in a time of war, the ones who you and I welcome with open arms and parades, the thought police are suspicious of them.

I’m not sure what prejudice of the liberal mind it is that makes Democrats mistrust veterans, but it’s about to elevate the best among us to the watch list.

So I’m coming clean.

I want to save the Democrats the trouble of tapping my phone.

I am a veteran who is opposed to abortion and illegal immigration. I drive a four-wheel-drive American-made pick-up truck and it has an NRA sticker in the window. There’s also an American flag and a magnetic Army ribbon and a sticker from a private Christian college.

I’m as rightwing extremist as it gets.

And so are most of the people I know.

And it’s too bad the government has decided that we’re the enemy. It’s too bad the new president and his comrades in the Congress are trying to use the police as their political enforcers.

Speaking of the police, I’m surprised they weren’t included in the profile.

From my previous post:

This report paints EVERY ASPECT OF CONSERVATISM as suspect!
Specifically mentioned in the Report:

homosexuality
abortion
military
gun control
immigration
border security
states rights
Christianity
Constitution

Gee, did they miss anything? Also directly or implied labels:

WHITE SUPREMISTS

TERRORISTS:
“The information is provided to federal, state, local, and tribal counterterrorism and law enforcement officials so they may effectively deter, prevent, preempt, or respond to terrorist attacks against the United States.

RACISTS:
The economic downturn and the election of the first
African American president present unique drivers for rightwing radicalization and recruitment.

Rightwing extremists have capitalized on the election of the first African American president...

Most statements by rightwing extremists have been rhetorical, expressing concerns about the election of the first African American president, but stopping short of calls for violent action....”

Make no mistake...the government is NOT on our side and even the least active us may be seen/treated as the enemy.

When our country was attacked on 9/11, the conclusion was that our enemies were at war with us - they actually told us so - and we weren’t at war with them.

Parallels, anyone? Has the left declared physical, not just political, war on conservatives?

This is typical of leftists/collectivists historically - they KILL any opposition. Watch for them to start “stepping it up”.

This government needs a certain number of tax slaves in order to stay in power. Without the slaves, they lose the ability to buy their votes here and around the globe.
Right now, the slaves are finally noticing they're being used as slaves. Things are changing for the better. The control freaks in Washington are losing control. They know they have but little time and they're desperately trying to maintain their power.

The answer is not a violent rebellion. That's what they want. Martial law would be the crises they need to for total totalitarianism. Instead, back off and refuse to feed this beast. Let it squirm. Let it starve.

People can live without the government, but the government cannot live without the people.

Exactly. Social unrest is what they want. They'll feed off it.

The object is to stop sending money - any money at all - to the politicians as much as legally possible.

We can live without them , but without their tax slaves, they have no power.

not one Republican politician has come forth and asked for Nepolitano’s head.

Not one called for the censure of Turban Durbin when he compared our troops to Nazis and Pol Pot. Not one called for the censure of John "they killed innocent civilians in cold blood" al Murthawi. Not one called for anything when Nazi Pelousy and her band of brown shirts toured enemy countries delivering their rat foreign policy initiatives. I can't see where they have grown a pair since then.

I frequently ask the question:
Are there any men left in Washington? Or, are there only cowards?

Wright and the weather underground, which is to say, "naw, naw, naw, god dayamn america", resulting in branding the first America as evil. Who will go for us to make a stand for the First America, to seek God's true Blessings... it better be all of us. I'm going tonight to a tea party, hope to see you there... A footnote from the report describing who the report is talking about:

* (U) Rightwing extremism in the United States can be broadly divided into those groups, movements, and adherents that are primarily hate-oriented (based on hatred of particular religious, racial or ethnic groups), and those that are mainly antigovernment, rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority, or rejecting government authority entirely. It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration.

DHS says that this is not an attempt to squash First Amendment Rights for the Right, only hate groups but, do you see any clarification of this point in the above quote? Indeed, read the whole document. Click here for the document's text. There is no attempt to exempt anyone from their broad generalizations.
