Tax Day Tea Parties - April 15, 2009

THIS WEDNESDAY: HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS TO TURN OUT FOR GIANT TEA PARTY PROTESTS!

This Wednesday is the big day - the April 15th Tea Parties to protest the uncontrolled government spending, bailouts, higher taxes and socialistic policies of President Obama and the Congress.

Read through this complete guide for all the latest updates.  If you scroll down you'll see we've added brand new details on the Tea Parties taking place in Sacramento, CA; Louisville, KY; Vacaville, CA; and San Jose, CA.

USA FLAGS NEEDED AT EACH EVENT!

Event organizers for a number of the Tea Parties are asking supporters to please bring American Flags.  If you can bring some extra small flags to hand out to others in the crowd, please do so.  Your help is very much appreciated!

"American Tea Party Anthem"

Listen to the official anthem of the Tax Day Tea Parties, "American Tea Party Anthem" written, produced and sung by Lloyd Marcus (who is also a spokesperson for the Our Country Deserves Better Committee).

LISTEN TO "A BAILOUT SONG"

Have you heard "A Bailout Song" - if not take a moment to give it a listen.  It's brought to you by the same talented folks of Rivoli Revue (of "Press One for English" Fame).

NEW VIDEO: "TAX AND SPEND"

We wanted to share with you a brand-new video, "Tax And Spend," that is spreading like wildfire across the Internet.  It's earned 6 YouTube Honors already in the first 24 hours since it was posted.  It's an edgy video and audio production that takes on Barack Obama's "tax-and-spend" policies.  Watch it - HERE

I can only hope that people name names on big signs. Name those who voted to spend future generations into poverty.

I am taking 10 co-workers and their kids. Also, 7 family members and 4 friends. Enough is enough. Whatever needs to be done. Tea Parties, walk on Washington DC, sit-downs whatever. I am mad and I am not going to take it anymore.

What we have in this country is the dog wagging the tail not the other way around. Everyone, get up and get out there before we lose our country. We are on the edge of losing everything our founding fathers and military have fought and died for.

If they could do it, we can too. Put down your remotes, stop being happy couch potatoes or we will soon not recognize the country that we love.

Be aware, the "talking points" from talking heads started Sunday. Their point is "fine, lets cut taxes, but where do we cut spending? Give us an itemized list of what YOU want to cut to ""pay" for these tax cuts".

I first heard this avenue of thought on Cavuto this past weekend, cannot recall who was spouting the drivel.

I tried to send Cavuto a pic of the Constitution asking him to please tell that guest I would cut anything not written in the Constitution and let States take back over programs THEY desire (with their taxes) instead of the Federal Gov't taking from one and giving to another.

If a program is SOOOOOOO important it needs to be funded, then damnit, put it to the Constitutional test, see if our useless congress-critters can get it in there..My bet is they can't!

That's a reasonable first impression if you don't know anything about the movement, so this guy is just telling people what they think they already know to keep them in the dark.

But, it's also a good reason for a positive message instead of just anti-Obama stuff.

I should note as well, I have heard a couple local liberals trying this line is well. Best I can tell, the tactic is to derail the movement in general by "throwing" the "cut spending" thing back in our laps and they stand back and watch the movement try to justify where spending should be cut (it would be a melee and it is a good tactic by the left).
So again, I say be aware of that avenue; disruption from within is the goal.

Stealth in any operation is important. Hopefully, they are surprised when they are overrun by our grassroots efforts.

You know we are going to the Spokane, Washington one! We are taking a couple of friends and some very cool signs. I just heard one of the Spokane Tea Party organizers say that they now have one or two thousand people signed up for the event, which is up from 400 early last week. Not bad for our community. I hope to see a huge cross section of people represented like veterans, conservatives, survivalists, libertarians, etc. Anyone else coming to the Spokane Tea Party?

Notice the local honchos from the political machines are running for cover on this one. People are plain fed-up!

Come to Santa Maria at 5:30 pm in the (closed) Mervyn’s parking lot.

Come join us for dinner at the El Paraiso Mexican food after the rally. (West end of the same parking lot.)
