What nerve. Does the Vatican come to Great Britain and tell them they ought to “rethink” socialism?

No, but someone should!

And while they are at it, I hope they get a ticket to Washington, D.C. and tell the idiot we have running this place the same D@%N thing!

I don’t know what’s wrong with him. I mean, he couldn’t be Prime Minister unless he was of the Church of England, and then, as soon as he’s out of office, he becomes a Catholic. Obviously he switches religions according to what office he takes at the time... :-)

Tough question.

I've heard that they either wear socks or do not wear socks.

Yep, another CINO. I have always long believed however that these converts NEVER really understood the Catholic faith or it’s teachings.

Most that I have come across only became Catholics because either they wanted to get married in the Catholic Church, have their children baptised/communion/confirmation, or for some other form of “appeasement” towards someone else. Never would they have become a Catholic on their own though.

Best story I heard yet was a woman I used to know wanted to get married, her fiance was quite adament about her converting. The priest however upon hearing her radical views on abortion and homosexuality was not about to go along with it and told her that he felt she was not converting for herself, but just to get married in the Catholic Church. This so-and-so was hell bent on suing the priest and the church for not going along with her little scheme. That speaks volumes to me about her true intentions. I wish her the best in life and hope she wakes up soon and realizes her mistakes.

Well done to the priest to stop that little scheme firmly in it’s tracks and more priests should start doing the same. Unfortunately, this woman’s fiance had his parents get her converted over at their church where they were very affuential. This woman still holds her views on abortion being a woman’s “right” and her views on homosexuality and as far as I know she’s hasn’t set a foot in church since her wedding, but of course she did start up again after the birth of her son 6 years ago so that he could be baptised. But now she does say she plans to start attending again “in the near future”. I would imagine she does, her son will be recieving his first holy communion witin the next year, so she does have to show up for that and the masses leading up to it. After that I bet it’s back to being a CINO for her!
